this is why I don't play the Doomsday Heist. I can't barely finish a Cayo Perico heist PREP WITHOUT GETTING SHOT OUTTA MY ASSSSSSSS.

I gave up on my 100% achievement list for the game because of that BS Criminal Mastermind thing.

I'll never find 4 let alone 1 willing to do that, I'd much prefer to do the REAL heists CM but even that is impossible as nobody bloody responds and nobody posts ads for Xbox. Always PC or PS ones looking for a third or fourth

For some reason, the Kosatka is hard to move between the marina and the helipad in Los Santos.

No further than the entrance in the corner (beach-airport) , the submarine will collide with something but I never managed to spot the problem, it should be able to move all the way to the helipad with the back underwater but that mysterious collision will raise the back above the surface, now I must get out and use the Up-n-Atomizer.

I only managed to get through once without leaving the commands, it was just me going full speed and bumping into I don't know what as usual.

It's a nice place to park the Kosatka and it can't easily get past one part, the water is deep enough so it's not the problem.

I don't bother with that anymore, I park the sub next to the pier, close enough to jump on the tiny plateform (with the ladder) without touching the water.

And the sub often move away from the pier on it's own despite the water being calm near the beach, at lest a nearby ramp can help at preventing that and there is no need to leave the sub.

Interesting problem. A submarine that draws about 30 feet of water (29.6 feet for the IRL Russian Delta IV) can't fit in a marina that's between 10 to 20 feet deep. Gee I wonder what the problem might be.

Just do what I do and either moor it up against my yacht or at the dock next to my nightclub.

Even if the Kosatka touched the bottom, as long as the back is underwater it can move.

The Del Perro Pier isn't bad anyway.

I should also mention how the submarine is lacking ladders or any helpful shape, problematic at times (just like the tugboat) .

Not a bad idea. At least then, it would be a bit more of a challenge once you take off with the Titan. It's one of the easiest missions, even on hard mode, and it pays out rather well compared to a lot of the other missions. So why they don't make it more of a challenge after you take off makes no sense to me.

r* just needs to add an insane or nightmare level.🤣

Haha I have seen a run of red or black on real roulette tables go into double figures on quite a few occasions, 3 in a row is nothing.

....but yea the casino games are 'rigged' and don't refelect real life probabilities, this is none more as evident on the Blackjack tables.

I doubt that. Funny to see GTA players complaining about rigged games just like real-life gamblers. In the GTA casino as in Vegas, the house has a thin statistical advantage that pays out over time; they have no need to rig games when they are bleeding the entire population dry on those margins. Rockstar of course has to live with players doing things you can't do in real casinos (like disconnect if you're going to lose), but they also can control betting limits so that there's never any real danger of anyone winning too much, anyway.

If you're concerned about this, I bet some nerds on Reddit have tracked hundreds of hands and can give you the actual in-game odds.

I've noticed that there's suddenly been a pile of videos in the last couple of months with people using the MOC cab on haulage runs to annoy griefers - it is a fun tactic to use against them, but at least stop telling them that the laser / hydra is the only real threat for MOC / Haulage players - because all the Mk2 griefers will all switch to jet griefing instead the moment someone triggers a haulage.

This is all I ever did in freeroam for a few years. But ya they started to always change to something with infinite rockets or explosive bullets so I just play in Friend sessions, never goes smoothly in anything public for a long time. Gave up and do what I can in private. Freeroam literally is a no go place for me with all the crazy crap. Maybe in the new version if they make a classic server or something for less fantasy vehicles, if not I'm outta luck playing anything public from R* other than RDR2.

I'm just waiting for them to bring a "Steampunk Horse" to RDR2 - which can cross the entire map in 45 seconds, has a gatling gun for a head and can jet its way across water - after all, that belongs in RDR2 as much as the Oppressor Mk2 belongs in GTA.

I am not concerned, I have no interest in playing the casino games there. However just try playing their Blackjack using perfect strategy and I guarantee you will see a significant difference between the GTA table's RTP compared to the RTP you should see. Even though the perfect strategy RTP is calculated over thousands/millions of hands the difference is still so great you will notice over a much smaller number.

That is not how that works. Short-term fluctuation (that would revert to the mean over a much larger sample size) is an inherent part of gambling, and that kind of logic is exactly why so many gamblers think games are rigged when they aren't. Catastrophic losses over 50 or 100 hands, or even far more than that, is quite possible.

Bottom line, unless I saw statistics of actual thousands of hands played, I'd never buy this argument. It sounds like one I heard and rolled my eyes at many times when I used to play poker.

What is up with the bloody Cayo Perico Velum checkpoint? I've done this hundreds of times over the months from Invite Only and it's been fine every single time. Now 6 times in the past 2 weeks the plane has just carried on flying and not triggered it. I don't claim to understand such matters but is Cayo Perico like a session, where if there is no space available at the moment you attempt to enter you can't join?

Whatever it is, it's bloody annoying that it's started happening after all this time and so often.

I've had this happen twice, I think, pretty spaced out from each other. No idea what causes it either but it's damn annoying.

today i tried doing an mc business sale my meth lab (i had a $1k bounty on me), a random kills me and claims it, (he had a bounty on him earler which i claimed), after i respawn, the random comes after me again i manage to kill him.

he respawns and kills me, he kept attacking me, another random in a b-11 started dropping bombs on him.

i ended up reporting and voting to kick the griefer and changed sessions.

Wasted a few button presses there, hugh. As soon as you left the session your kick vote went with you.

As for the reporting, nothing will come of it - what that player did was completely legit and encouraged by the game.

The Age of The Benz is long gone, my friend. The last thing Der Fuhrer Zelnick wants is us completing sales and getting money from any source other than shark cards.

Also, dude, you've been around long enough to know - why are you still wasting your time on MC businesses? They are dead, dead, dead. You would literally make more money selling sentinels/sandkings every 48 mins and robbing stores in between cooldowns. Especially if you're on Xbox.

I wouldn't say MC sales are dead but there are much better ways to make money now. You just learn to be more selective with your sales. Same goes for bunker sales. Trigger-happy randumbs not withstanding. Even on my low-value account I still engage in MC sales but only do the "easy" or fun ones. That includes Bikes, boats, Helicopters, Trash trucks and "The Truck". I just close app on the rest. I also do my sales in solo public sessions. Yes I don't make the 1% bonus but I also don't have to deal with xX_EliteN1J4Snyper_Xx and his many low-self esteem clones.

Each to their own, Frogg - all I'm really saying is MC businesses are loaded out with hidden fees - like daily charges - meaning you won't see anywhere near the profits you might think you're getting, and those were pretty dismal to start with.

Plus, on Xbox, solo public sessions are gone (mostly, anyway), so we're back to Post Op Vans vs Skillbikes & Jets (ie abso-f*cking-lutely no contest). Remember, R* never intended for MC sales to succeed 100% of the time (hence being locked to public and able to be locked on to by missles).

Of course, this was back before the avalanche of armed vehicles - as they came in, the power creep made MC sales less and less viable, culminating in the kiddiegasm Skillbike, a weapon purpose built and fully intended to shut down sales (the 900% griefing rate is just a side-effect because the OP Mk II also happens to be the king of near-unstoppable EZ mode kills with almost no chance of being hit back). I've said this before, but in essence, if a Skillbike wants to shut down a MC sale, then that sale is shut down, end of story; either they'll nuke you or blow your timer while you try to deal with them on foot.

As far as grinding (legit) cash goes, in 2021 there is only the One True Way, which is Cayo Perico.  Everything else (including DCH, mostly due to the war-crime level failure rate brought about by 99% of the playerbase being apparently brain damaged) pales by comparison by such a margin as to be a waste of time. I did the math in another thread, and over an 8 hour period you can make 10-20 (!) times more with CP than you can with any other business or hiest. If I'm grinding cash, I know I'd rather make 5 million than 500K.

As I said above, each to their own; however, CP is for cash, literally everything else is just for fun.

Like I said solo publics are still a thing on XB1 lobbies you just need to have access to your router. As for fees and such, the income from the nightclub takes care of that.

Welcome to the breathless K/D warriors this game is infested with. They go by many names but tryhard is the most common one. They dance around with a sniper rifle, launch rockets when you are 5 feet away, orbital strike you and send you stupid text messages like "Lzzzz" and "1-0" after they blew you up when you were just minding your own business driving your new car to LSC.

Best bet is to just avoid and ignore them. Most of them have modded accounts so everything but the D/K ratio is meaningless to them.

You can do casino preps in invite only sessions so you can avoid randoms from screwing it up.

@hugh750, yep, then you can do the actual hiest where you can't avoid randoms screwing it up. 😣

It's a sad indictment of the playerbase when "not walking right in front of a camera" is too much to ask.

I remember one of the last DCH runs I ever did, one of the crew didn't get out of the vault in time. When I offered some constructive criticism, he screamed at me "THERE'S NO WAY TO AVOID SETTING OFF THE ALARM, D*CK". I couldn't even reply - I just dissolved in to helpless laughter.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I have decided that I can't be bothered with 2 characters anymore so I'm selling all my cars on my female character and either retiring her or even deleteing her but selling 200+ cars is taking for ever and now I have a daily sell limit and no access to my custom plates because I sold too many cars I paid millions for in a short amount of time. If I am selling the same car over and over again I uderstand getting the daily sell limit but I sold 30 Hellfires spread out between 100 other different cars it should be obvious they aren't dupes especially when I haven't sold an Issi or Elegy Retro in at least 6 months.

I agree that MC businesses are terrible for making money but if you already own them and aren't desperate for money they are somthing different to do. Every couple of months I use to resart my MC businesses and sell them a few times as a change from heists and contact missions. If you enjoy doing something it is always worth doing it every so often no matter how bad the pay is to mix up the game again and to help it from becoming too boring.

Totally with you on this. Mixing it up and trying different things is what's kept me playing this so many years.

That nightclub van is too over-armoured. My son and I last night tried to pepper one with OP2 rockets because the driver was holding the "Hot Property" briefcase, but after taking at least 100 rockets, it still didn't explode. How many do they take?

I eventually had to get my son to herd him towards me as I went up the road and went off radar so that I could shoot him through the windscreen.

Yep, been like that since the OG Heists sadly.

Join some lower ranks casino heists, arcade in Paleto Bay (why?!), tells me to stop and just follow him, he procceeds to mess it up several times before ragequitting.

I do seem to have a lot of luck with Cary Perico randoms tho, either they know what they're doing or they know how to follow me and not make a mess.
