Agreed. And I'd pay them 5 million GTA$ for an Interaction Menu option that lets me destroy every Oppressor in the lobby once per game day. That thing is so shockingly terrible and toxic. I watched a couple of assholes yesterday do nothing for over an hour but zip around blowing up every player vehicle they could, in a session full of mostly oblivious low levels.  Poor bastards.  And there's a splash screen right now, offering me bonus money on a shark card purchase and using the Oppressor Mk II as bait to try to get me to buy it. f*cking awful how cynical they are.

How about good sport points when destroying weaponized vehicles? AND a cash bonus depending on vehicle. Up to 10K for destroying them rewarded.

 

Of course we'd all exploit this and stack up all the Oppressors and have one guy blow them up for a payday.

Well, some people actually enjoy driving / flying weaponized vehicles without doing any harm. Best way of doing this is just to remove the bad sport on weaponized vehicles across the board.

Yeah, I've been killed just because (exact quote) "you are flying an Oppressor" to move across the map (got to bunker, do Casino preps, etc.). Fun times.

I admit, I'm very guilty of this. I do the same thing with Jets and Deluxos.

 

Why, some might ask (only if they don't play the game), why, it's because Oppressors in particular ruin everything simply by being in proximity. There's only a few freemode events not completely ruined by a Oppressor joining the fray. 90% of all VIP or President work is either chase the Oppressor or evade the Oppressor.

 

Chasing Oppressors is a frikking chore, there's only a few vehicles that can catch up, even fewer that can survive the Oppressor turning around to face you. While much the same can be said for jets, they are easier to shot down, need a lenghty lift-off and require plenty of space.

 

In the past I often parked my Chernobog in a few select places in the city so I could shot down any Oppressor flying through the city...

The bad sport ban might actually be justified... or rather it would have, in the past and not for these last few days.

@TheFroggmann these corona glitches... are they in full lobbies? Cause I haven't seen them in solo lobbies, but had a glitch (in a public lobby) where I delivered a Custom Insurgent and after delivering the second one I discovered the first one did not checked on the delivery menu, while gone from the map.

 

 

PS MC business is broken AF.

I've seen them in solo lobbies, but only a couple times and not lately. Haven't been playing much though.

That said--you need to get smart. Start using VIP work to avoid this stuff, if you're going to keep fighting and fighting them.

As you say easily avoided with VIP work for ~20 mins, buy a £2k special cargo crate for 15 mins (depending on which mission you get, you might also get no cops too) or wait for one of the new multi crate business battles for 30 mins of bad sport-free oppressor hunting.

That said as Secrecy274 says it does block the teleport to faciltity option which is handy to avoid the inevitible death when an OPMK2 manages to dodge your missiles and turn on you. I did find myself "dodgy" recently because I was OP hunting without BS protection.

I don't do that anyway, and consider it an exploit. In fact I don't really understand why anyone does PvP and then starts taking the easy way out over and over, teleporting to their facility or apartment, using godmode glitches, and so on. Once a player starts doing that stuff in a fight with me I get away from them or switch sessions. I like the strategy battle of GTA fighting, even though it's unbalanced; I don't like spending half an hour or more trying to get one kill on someone who will do any dirty thing they can to avoid dying. Not worth it, not fun.

I still maintain that if every lobby has at least one person running haulage with an MOC cab most of the time, it'll keep the oppressors busy trying to blow it up (and most of them think they're hitting the trailer instead of the cab if you deliberately drive at the same speed as the AI traffic)

Having said that, I've seen less of them going after me when I do this - and every run where I don't get harassed I pass the whole payment over to the lowest level person in the session (making it a double-good deed, taking the attention of any griefers and giving the low levels a payout if nothing happens), but it's telling that I still make more money than I should by baiting griefers this way.

Aye but It infurates the griefers who think they are "king of the lobby they own". The 2 things that seem to trigger them the most are
1- Getting a cheap kill on them by creeping up on them in an Akula while they are sitting on their OPMK2 in the pause menu looking at the map for other players in vehicles they can prey on.
2 - When they turn around on me and think they are going to get the kill but you teleport out of there and all they end up getting is a faceful of bad sport points for destroying my Akula.
...both followed by an in game message mocking them.

The first tactic I definitely endorse. I stay off radar as much as possible and use my Akula far more than most players seem to; it's especially fun for hunting Mk IIs that are griefing everyone. Get a lot of hate mail for it, which is amusing. These are the same goofballs killing themselves anytime you get near them or lock onto their broomstick with anything--off radar is practically a necessity to put a small dent in their K/D.

Getting in here before every bitches and moans the fact the new location for the December heist is actually on the map. Cmon guys did you REALLY think Rockstar we’re gonna put a new land mass onto map. The code can’t handle 30 players let alone generate an entire new model of map

That's justified. There's plenty of times I didn't kill a MK2 noob as they pass by. The second I call my car in and drive away, that noob swings back around and tries to blow me up. I kill any weaponized vehicle that comes in range of me and so should you!!!

doing a resupply mission (the railgun one) drive it all the way to my bunker... deliver it to my bunker... agent 14 calls and says “you can’t win them all..” etc and I have no supplies. Even though I just delivered them. Wtf.

Yep, although I usually get to a solo lobby through a full lobby. The heck with trying to get something done with 29 ADHD miscreants who have been on home arrest and off their meds for nearly a year. Not to mention trying to drive in 1.5 FPS because one of these f*ckwits is on dialup. 

 

 

And today's rant: If you aren't going to bring back bag deliveries THEN f*ck OFF WITH THE POST OPS!

Yea saw the text this morning was extremely disappointed. "Largest addition to GTA Online ever!" my f*cking ass. A minor building add-on is such a cop out. But then again they only made Billion dollars off this game. I wonder how they keep the lights on with that little cash.

True that. But it doesn't make any sense. Homing missiles somehow do the same damage as RPGs against tanks.

Against most other armored vehicles, homing missiles do 1/3 the damage of a RPG.

Probably leftover from the old days where the Rhino was OP and tank armor was nerfed.

Rockstar should have buffed the Rhino back.
