You need to have a Franklin & Lamar save, even if you complete prologue to play online, if you don't have a save game, at some point, the game's gonna force you to do Prologue again.

 

OT: You're playing on a new account that hasn't played story mode yet/doesn't have a SP save. That's your answer.

GREAT GTAO gaming experience today: loading loading loading to get into a session, trying to get into a random heist - loading loading loading - heist glitches - loading loading loading - find a new session cause this one is glitched - loading loading loading - try to get into a heist - loading loading loading - heist glitches - loading loading loading - find a new session cause this one is glitched - loading loading loading - restart the game cause stuck in clouds... 1 1/2 hrs of this.

Unfortunately, and I really do mean unfortunately, you are 100% accurate. Anyone playing this game needs to realize that a great deal of what most rational players consider griefing is actually not only sanctioned and allowed by Rockstar, but encouraged by them. If people have a problem with getting their cargo blown up by try hards and douchebags, then as much as I would LOVE to blame the aforementioned try hards and douchebags, we really need to blame Rockstar. They have intentionally set up an online environment that is completely hostile and negative, at least in my opinion.

 

Like it or not, the rule is that if you are trying to run your business, some idiot griefer with an oppressor and nothing more than a desire to ruin your good time, will roll up on you to cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars, just so they can make $5K and increase their K/D.

 

It is what it is, and it really is all Rockstar's fault, in my estimation.

that means you have timed out in the lobby multiple times typically due to a bad internet connection.

To be fair, we're voting for our favourite and not necessarily the best for racing in those games. Many don't race and taste is naturally very subjective.

 

The only aspect I strongly disagree with is the attacks on others for voting one way or the other and disrupting the game itself with the petty stuff. (That's not aimed at you but referencing some nonsense I've been caught up in on a couple of occasions).

 

The games would be very boring if everyone all agreed on the same things and there was no variety in people's tastes TBH. It could be that it's a race winning car, a certain livery/tuning upgrades or style/era of car that brings up some good nostalgic reasons, or the way the car crumples up in some crazy freemode chaos as to why a player likes their choice. No harm in which and backing their choice because of whatever reason they choose and I feel it adds to those games rather than ruins them. All the more reason to back your choice and hope it does well. Can't win 'em all.

it looks like bunker sales is also buggy now, tonight i tried a few lobbies to do a bunker sale, my 1st try it involved going off road with monster trucks.

i switched lobbies, on the 2nd lobby it was weaponized trucks, when i got to the drop off point i drove into the corona and nothing happened, same with the 3rd lobby.

after that i gave up for the night.

Sometimes, I drop the Insurgent/buggy/monstertruck cargo at the corona (not even the first one) and nothing happens, but then I drive to the next one and at the moment I drop the cargo the mission counts both coronas at the same time and the rest of the mission goes as usual.

Maybe, since you're already there anyway, try to go to the next corona before quitting the mission. Hope it works for you too

The game didn't save my progress, and ended up losing 350k, a level, 3 bunker resupplies (throwing off my count), the CS tshirt and 2 research projects. It wasn't much to lose, but it's absolutely soul draining knowing R* won't ever fix their servers so we wouldn't have to deal with this problem.

Oh boy i love having my entire full stock of nightclub product raided. I forgot to disband my MC when i decided to take a shower. Sure enough, came back with police outside of my nightclub. After i died i came to the realisation that my 360/360 stock was completely gone. Even with all of the best upgrades they still managed to rob my ass. Thanks Rockstar, very cool.

today i was doing a ceo crate job, i had to go to the casino and kill 3 thieves, i kill 2 of them and deliver 2 crates to my warehouse, the 3rd was glitched into the casino.

i eventually killed the 3rd by firing an rpg at where he was in the casino wall and get (and) deliver the crate with about 3 minutes left.

why is it the more r* fixes the game the more they break??

He's right, you know. The user he was replying to chooses not to use the many tricks known to him, plays the game "as R* intends it", while he knows better, and then comes here to complain about getting griefed, or in this case, the game not working.

GTA Online makes me wonder what a game really is. It feels more like a job than a game at this moment, and at times I really get tired of playing GTA Online.

It's a game, not a second job.

I wasn't questioning the accuracy, but I don't think its a great thing to do to throw it in someone's face for complaining about what happens to them in the game. the business battle glitch hit me again today, i was doing the one at the steelyard along with another random, we both get a crate.

i get to my night club and went into the corona and nothing happened, and i noticed on the minimap that it looked like the random was having the same issue.

i even messaged the random basically saying "it looks like the business battle has glitched again".

the random didn't reply and he left.

like i've said here before, why does it seem like every time r* fixes the game they break something else?

My guess: they are working "higher up" in the game then usual, or to put it in another way, working more on the 'core' of the game engine then usual, they are making changes for the upcoming re-re-release and they messed something up with the corona's themselves (wich is why the bugs happen with more then just BB's)

The fact that the bugs seem pretty damn random might indicate something else (again just guessing here, this is way beyond what we can see in the files: there might be some sort of "administrator" script being implemented, something that decides "does it make sense for this player to hit the corona considering x y and z?", in an effort to crack down on glitches and/or cheats, but its currently doing a pretty poor job / creating lots of false positives)

I was reading the first page by accident. It's sad how most of those complaints are still present, yet I'm not surprised.

 

Now, what the f*ck is wrong with the stupid ability bars resetting?

The logic is so stupid. If you don't max an ability and then don't log in a while (that while being a week) because you're a f*cking idiot with other things to do, they reset the stat back to 0. I had flying ability at 90 something, so figured I could end up maxing it later, right? Well, yeah, my character now forgot everything about flying and f*ck you, back to 0.

 

This isn't even new. I remember back in 2013 even maxed abilities would decrease over time, but this? No wonder so many people drop the game instantly after coming back, you just get f*cked left and right

The fact that I was forced to buy an Arena workshop, where I'll never set foot again, just so I could remove the scoop on my Imperator. An operation that could be easily handled buy the MOC or even LSC.
