Or Bogdan hosts who use Land Act facility. Most of them are probably unaware of the Elite challenge, because they don't stick around to see the requirements at the end.

While i agree that they didnt really have to remove that i also think its pretty funny how it changed the start of races, in the past like 60-70% of the players would get the starting boost and then one of the first corners would pretty much always turn into a pile-up, but now maybe 2-3 people get it and the amount of early pile-ups seems to have at least halved.

 

I just went back to doing what i did before i figured out the parkinson approach, just touch the accelerate key/button on 3 2 & 1, unless you're pretty drunk or something that should give you perfect timing to actually press the accelerate on GO, im having more trouble to actually remember to not spam the accelerate then i have trouble with getting the timing right.

I feel ya. Considering how lucrative Bogdans are, it's totally worth relocating, upgrades be damned. Especially if one is only using their facility to launch Bogdans. And 50 grand is, after all, 50 grand.

Funny thing, after I relocated to Paleto Bay Facility (Partly to have a tele location to Paleto), me and my friend kinda... stopped doing Bogdan.

I now start to see why a lot of my friends in this game had started to use mod menu. The other day some moron blew one of them cause he was "using an Oppressor, so it's fair game". FN logic! I believe he had to restart his game after my friend was done with him. And this is one of my friend that is interesting in nothing more than grinding and mind your own business (he uses the menu just to teleport around the map when is bored and lately - to punish morons like the aforementioned). You just can't be in a session with more then 3 people where one of them is not a complete moron that tries to ruin it for everyone, so my fingers are scratching to have the said menu and ruin his life too (almost literally). Instead I'm just booting every session where this happens. Which, it seems, is every session. There's always ONE of those. I am not proud of it, but I have enough on my head to deal with morons that are costing me time and money.

Oh, much the same for me, except I never relocated. I was already rich by the time I bothered with Bogdans, so mostly did the hosting for friends. But, yeah - that dialogue, I think there's only a certain number of times a person can hear that without taking a power drill to their eardrums.

 

For the record, tho, Elite Challenge is quite doable from Route 68 and Ron Alternates.

Like I said - I'm not proud of this. But then I don't have the time to run Howler to check the session for morons, so I can sell my bunker or NC, so then I can switch to another and repeat this again, so I can stuck reloading the same session over and over again. I was just into a relatively peaceful one. I had 2 Insurgents with 5 drops each. Those fellas are not easy to destroy, so I tried. Managed to do 4 drops in total, until TWO morons piled on the one that I was not driving to destroy it (I was monitoring the situation, as you can imagine). Well, I wrote in the chat that I'm booting the session because of two cargo griefers. Then I sold my bunker.

I prefer to read this, instead of having my cargo blown up and I lose my time cooking it, whatever the sell time I had so far trying to sell it AND the money I've invested in it.

 

Mind you - you can do this experiment with most bunker missions, but if you are selling MC - boy are you in for a treat!

 

Bonus: I had my NC sell for 1.3 mil blown up with the FN Orbital Cannon early on in my career. Should I explain how that felt?

@hyperar & @partci, learn how to set up what we refer to as 'solo public' sessions. For example, on Xbox, you load into a public session, go into your xbox settings menu and test your NAT type. This briefly interrupts your connection and splits you off into your very own public session. Just like that you can sell, source, etc in peace. You'll have to google the method for your respective platforms, but it's pretty straightforward in all cases. 

 

The OP Mk II was added to the game specifically to destroy cargo runs. It is purpose-built and extremely good at it. R*'s goal is to frustrate players jnto buying Shark Cards, and players who destroy cargo are unwitting servants of that goal. Most of them don't realise that R* is using them, some just don't care because 'lol truck go boom, umadbro looool'; in any case, don't be surprised if your Op Mk II gets taken out preemptively - the seller does not have the luxury of waiting to see if this Opressor pilot is the 1 in 1000 that won't attack. By the same token, don't be suprised when an Op Mk II blows away your cargo - that is literally its job, and R* is counting on the toxicity of the playerbase to do their dirty work for them.

 

This business model has earned Take 2 Interactive billions of dollars and has catapulted their stock value from around 3 billion when GTA V launched to 18.5 billion at last count, so do not think for a second that they're going to change things; if anything it will just get worse.

 

Solo public sessions are the solution to your problems. Not mod menus, not trying to fight unwinnable battles and not getting angry and giving yourself stress-headaches. Learn how to set them up and milk the sh*t out of them while you can; you bet your ass this method won't exist in future iterations of the game and the microsecond R* figures out how to shut it down on existing platforms, they will do it.

 

I stand by my original statement, tho: playing on PC must be a f*cking nightmare.

I know what a solo lobby session is, and i use it when i'm selling, the thing is, i wasn't selling nor doing MC work, i was modding a Benny's vehicle and this idiot left tons of proximity mines in a way i couldn't avoid them due to the exit animation, then he came with his stupid MKII and i killed him and blown it up, which didn't work because he got another instantly instead of having a cool down, then i tried to avoid him and wanted to call mine to get away from this idiot, but as soon as i activated my MC to request the bike, the raid began. Yesterday i was standing next to my car and another idiot blow me up with his MKII.

GTA V Online is doomed, i hope C* don't make the same mistakes for the next iteration whenever the hell it comes up.

Play in public sessions, you get griefers. Don't play in open public sessions if you want to be left alone.

Dude, do you read what I am writing? Once in a while I will roam into actual public sessions for whatever reasons (my friends are not online at the moment, I want to do a Business Battle - whatever). In the specific case I was doing an experiment with selling in a public session (actually lately this is easier then a two weeks ago - I can't guess why) and specifically stated in my post that I booted/emptied it after I got attacked, instead of doing the regular thing of simply emptying it, and then finished my sale.

 

Also I was referring to you calling me "entitled" for something familiar.
