I see very little, if any, defending griefing. I don't regard me pointing out facts as `disrespecting` anyone but aside of that, neither of them have done anything to earn respect. I don't know why you bring up getting `triggered`. You're obviously confused since you think opinions can be "more truer" than others. Unlike the above quoted, I don't get emotional over opinions and forum posts. first of all, the anti-griefers can be just as toxic as the griefers.  I am way more bothered by them than I am the griefers.  I don't get griefed very often, and never had griefer send me messages or anything, and I have never griefed anyone. for you its safe to assume, based on your experiences, that griefers are pricks in real life.  so, based on my experiences, according to your "logic", as you call it, I should safely assume anti-griefers are pricks in real life to.   so, I guess evryone is a prick, no matter what side they are on.

There's one small thing overlooked here, there's a 'report for griefing' feature.

 

Granted, the interpretation on griefing is relative, and we're all but convinced R* does f*ck all with those reports. But it does elude to there being consequences for griefing. If the playstyle is legitimate, why would/could there be consequences. (Again, in theory as R* clearly says and does two different things on this topic, IMHO).

It is plain and simple. There are many MANY ways to cut down on griefing and this developer is not doing a single thing about it. I know why, you know why, the investors probably don't even care. 

 

Leaving the session, cheating the game or handing in all your guns and running away SHOULD NOT be the only solutions.

The `report for griefing` serves two main functions. It's psychologically comforting to the person being griefed, making them feel like they have some kind of recourse against their offender. And, it's a method to help identify the most extreme cases, which are counter-productive to R*'s goal. If a full-time griefer is actually ruining the game to the point where people stop logging in, that's clearly someone who is stepping too far over the line and no longer contributing to R*'s model for GTA 5 Online.

 

I'd be interested to know how they deal with situations where someone is an extreme griefer but they're also consistently buying shark cards. They might be condemned to Bad Sport lobbies for an eternity, but I bet they wouldn't be banned.

R* does not give a f*ck. A sharkcard buying griefer is the best they can hope for. He makes them money and turns other players to buying cashcards by making them unable to make money.

 

Also griefing being a legit gameplay method? Dont make me laugh. The definition of griefing is litterally the exact opposite of legit gameplay.

But I aint suprised to hear stuff like that from someone who considers the mk2 fine as it is.

I'm in a race that's non-contact. I'm leading the race with a Pariah right on my ass. And somehow someone is blocking a jump and they aren't transparent, and I run right into them and lose.

the assumption here is that the game spawned 3 but whatever happened to the third one remains a mystery.

earlier today i had a npc driver break check me while i was driving my oppressor mk1 down the del perro freeway causing me to crash into him.

and when i was doing a sale from my forged document business while ii was driving a western damon full throttle in around rockford hills while i was passing a npc he desides to make a hard left turn in front of me causing me to t bone him and die!

i owned a mk2 opressor for a short while (it's good for grinding (you can get to your sale vehicles pretty quick on it)) but it kept making me feel like i would be seen as a griefer so i sold it.

The traffic has really been annoying me lately. They seem far worse than normal. They keep doing random u-turns in the middle of the road, suddenly switching lanes as I'm about to approach, driving on the wrong side of the road, and just driving erratically in general.

Just today, I had them piss me off to the max. It's almost like they try and crash into you. They will have their sirens on driving around aimlessly, even though they're not actively chasing anyone. I swear, whenever I'm about to pass them, 9 out of 10 times, they will make a quick turn right into me, making me T-bone them, then I get wanted. I will even try leave a lot of space when trying to pass them, but they literally drive into my path. They're so bored with their lives that they just want to come after us for no reason. f*ck road rules all that. f*ck our own health and safety.

Dude, that's literally what defending griefing is, you're arguing that just because it's an intended part of the game it somehow legitimazes it as a valid playstyle.

Yes they do, they ruin the game experience of others, that's warrant enough for getting banned and perhaps you too, for defending the indefensible.

tonight i was doing the casino heist setup big con, and i had to get drills from a heist crew at the small bank on the western highway.

i was driving my oppressor mk1 and i drove to the rear of the bank and the cops there went full aggro on me (and i didn't do anything to provoke them but it was war)!

First of all, you can’t fill a non contact race.  You sit and sit and sit and no one joins.  So I back out and just join a race.  Either I get a level 10 host with custom cars turned off or a bunch of assholes spinning you off the track with no racing skills at all.

 

Stunt races suck now and that used to be one of the best activities.

 

They must have decided they could sell more shark cards if they limited non contact races as dumb as that sounds.

I normally start a non-contact and then start it when like 1 or 2 people join and put it on 1 lap, then vote for another one and do all the settings you like, then a bunch of people should join when you put on auto invite & invite skill matched players.

 

Hopefully it works for you man.

I've done the same. For some reason the first race doesn't draw many in, but after that first race (or mission) more people join.

Also, hosting from a non-NAT lobby seems to help.

Yeah first race just choose something short and do 1 lap on your own, then wait for 3-4 others in race 2, then you should start capturing lobbies and getting 12 join at once.

 

Matchmaking is broken af.

 

Also, "remain host" on.
