Yeah, once you hire a DJ and do the mission it will fill the popularity bar so I believe you'll need that to run down before starting another DJ mission but not 100% sure so you might be able to just get them done in one small session. (Any lobby type can be used too. The safe can only hold $70k so be sure to empty it now and then). Beyond that and once all 4 DJ are in, just pick one or leave the last one to rot.

 

Though I fully agree with anyone saying the phone calls/texts need to ease up. In today's game it's too frequent.

Tried to log in last night to get my daily wheel spin. Rather than load to story mode first, I pushed X to go directly to online....15 minutes later...still on the load screen, watching all the "tips" rotate through and the little "loading..." spinner in the corner. I just closed out then reloaded the game into story mode then went to online through the in-game menu and I was dropped into my casino in less than 3 minutes. 6 year old game and we still can't log in without an issue.

You say this as if complaining about a game we bought is a bad thing.

 

Ideally, the B&M thread should function as a way for the forum users to express their grievances with the game, but in practice it only works as a dumpster in which complains get sent to die, that message in red on the Next DLC Speculation thread that forbids people complaining about things is proof of this.

 

Hell, even the name of this topic itself implies that actually expressing what we don't like about the game ammounts as mere bitching and moaning, just mindless drivel against the game, no matter how valid said criticism may be.

The topic of bitching about a purchased video game might sit a bit differently with me then a lot of people here.  I predate videogames.  The cost of video games has not scaled with the quality of the final product.   My goto example is Atari 2600's game Adventure and Skyrim.  Same game, almost the same price(that part gets even crazier when you do the real math).  I think people will agree that Skyrim blows Adventure out of the water.  As someone who paid full price for Adventure when I paid the same price for Skyrim 30 some years later...I was blown away.

 

That doesn't mean we can't and shouldn't bitch and moan.

 

We also shouldn't feel we are 'owed' something just because we paid money for something entertaining.  If we applied that to everything, every disappointing movie, meal, concert would generate so much bitching that we wouldn't have time to talk about anything positive in life.

I haven't spun in ages either, I decided to do my spin yesterday and as per the norm it landed on clothing, I did glitch the wheel again later on to have another spin (because the game didn't save because I quit before it could) and it landed on RP so I quit again. Like I've said previously I don't care if it's literal cheating at this point, the game has screwed me over so many times it's only fair, I don't see it as cheating if the service or person or whatever on the opposite end cheats you first. 

 

3+ months in and still no f*cking car, I don't care what vehicle it is at this point I'd gladly take it, I knew out of all of my friends, I'd be the odd one out who won't be winning it. 

 

And before yous ask, I have glitched the wheel previously for an hour or two trying to land on the car and the one time It should've landed on it, it decided to dip past by one or two. I swear there's something else going on in the code

What I feel towards Auto Aim. Especially after the later (OG Heist pack/2015-ish) updates. During the PS3 days, I played on Free Aim. GTA4? Free Aim. FA was so fun for me it was unreal. But later on, the NPCs started to have far deadlier aim, and their hits twice as hard. On the '04? Free Aim'ed once maybe twice, then went back to Aim Assist. No way am I gonna deal with this sh*t.

@ten-a-penny I've been grinding Special Cargo and besides the DDH, these source missions have literal OP AI. I had a van to collect yesterday at El Burro Heights and I think the scenario there involved a crew shootout, they had pistols, or basic SMG's but I'm more leaning towards pistols, I kept getting killed by them because they could lock onto me from such great distance with pistols and even with aim-assist on I still couldn't lock onto them with an appropriate weapon but they had no trouble covering me in bullets. You want to know why I get the sh*ts?  it's because of unrealistic game mechanics. But then people say "durrrp, it's a game, it doesn't have to abide by the laws of physics and whatever goes in real life" but it doesn't mean either the AI has to be supper rigged to the point of being unrealistic.  If they get to have a super aim pistol with point blank accuracy, I want that too. If I can't have it then f*ck off with that crap. 

 

I'm up for a challenge and I don't care if some effort is needed, I can happily do that, it's when you start giving NPC super-powers and aimbot powers that's when I get P!ssed off and start questioning things. 

 

I still recall the time during import / export I had a vehicle to collect near the casino at one of the houses, the AI were sitting up at the driveway entrance with the car with basic guns, meanwhile I was at the soccer field across the street and I was getting covered in bullets AGAIN despite being a suitable distance away from them. 

 

I hope this sh*t never makes it to GTA VI but something tells me it will.

Man I've been RIGHT UP THERE just a couple of hours ago. Was buying/sourcing crates, had the "a gang has stole the stuff and put it in a Journey" delivery. While I managed to kill the driver no problem, the freaks that come after you once you get in kept killing me one after the other it was so f*cking ridiculous. I got killed THREE TIMES by noobie street-gang Vagos that have nothing but f*cking Micro UZI's.

the players that kick you for no reason shortly after joining a session...

I launched a client job knowing its 2x this week just to make some quick cash... as soon as I leave my terrorbyte I get the 'players are voting to kick you' message and i'll be kicked 'after the events over'

I go over and attack them for a bit (AFTER they vote kicked me first). I eventually finished the job and was kicked out.

They way people do that is just rude... They could just ask and I'd be more than happy to find a new session.

I've suspected the wheel is rigged, as well.

 

I decided to win the Mamba on both characters on my main PSN account, closing the app every time it lands on something useless. It's kinda strange how many times the wheel lands on "clothing." More than it should have, in my opinion. 

 

I did eventually win it on both characters, but I didn't do much of anything else during that week, lol. I don't consider it to be cheating. The game has much bigger problems and R* is not even trying to fix them.

Just had a player on PS4 destroy my Terrobyte (while I was inside) and then teleport around me to get cheap kills off me.

 

I thought Tryhards were low but this is another scenario that takes the cake. 

 

And he didn't even have the gulls to respond to my message saying how desperate he is for cheap kills. Says a lot.

The orbital cannon (I'm not gonna capitalize that idiotic POS) and the fact that k/d is affected by freeroam kills are the most stupid game additions in recent memory.

Someone's k/d is just as impressive as someone's glitched money...IE: not impressive at all. If it keeps your interest in the game, fine, do whatever you like, just don't expect others to care about it.

And the retard cannon? How TF is that supposed to enhance the game in any way?

 

Pretty sad state of affairs.

GTA has definitely jumped the shark long ago.

It lands on clothing far more than anything else if you spin legit as well, trust me.

If it gave you unique items, then I wouldn't mind, but crap (and I do mean CRAP) that you can just buy anyway?

I haven't even looked at what any of the items are that I've 'won' after the first two.

Just ugly crap I won't even redeem for free, I'll certainly never put them on my character.

I feel like I've landed on chips more than anything else. I'm currently closing in on around 750,000 chips.

At this point it's starting to feel like those rigged arcade games (Like stacker if you've heard of it), only after x amount of wins or playthroughs will it then decide to give you a chance at getting the top prize.

 

If this worked on "Chance" per say there's a good chance I would've won the podium vehicle at least once by now but watching a previous GIF recording of one of my own spins go past the car prize when it should've 100% landed on it (or stopped) leads me to believe there's something else going on.

 

While I don't have visual evidence this time around, my friend did do he's spin the other night and he gave it a full spin, and it just somehow started mysteriously slowing down near the clothing prize when it still had a bit more thrust to go beyond that. When it landed on the clothing it definitely had the thrust to go a few extra prize slots. So I think I can conclude for now that there is something fishy going on and it's more than just being down to "chance". I'm wondering if after x amount of spins does the game decide to give the next player a 1% chance at getting the car. 

 

Someone commented a while back (can't remember where they posted or who it was) that the game predetermined what you'll get before your spin but I don't know if that's true but I wouldn't put the thought of that past me at this point if the game is definitely going on with something else besides the supposed advertised "chances".

Come back to gtao the last few days and its no surprises that the daily objectives still dont tick off such as doing Wreck It three times and still not counting. Also a mate and I got kicked from a crew we were with for a long time due to being friends with other friends they have had a disagreement with. Not much of a B&M but still pisses me off.

Almost every time, when I do a client job, npc's can shoot through glass or glass door, but I can't do that! Their greed is so obvious that it makes me if not sing this song then definitely think about it:

What's even more valid (IMO) than the B&M thread is the "Worst of R* Logic" thread.

 

Numerous things in that thread could be used to make the game more consistent and straightforward.

 

And Rockstar HAS the time to implement much of it; it's primarily an issue of twisted priorities.

True--I stumbled onto this when I found that R* "patched" an invisible wall inside an enclosed parking lot.

 

When inside the 'walls', players can no longer use their weapon (stowed up by default)--but the LSPD can, of course, fire away ad nauseum.
