Maybe sort of confirmed? I only bought my nightclub last week and I’ve only done 3 sales and one of those was yesterday so it wouldn’t have counted towards bonus so it fits that I would get $500,000. 

Not sure if it’s an actual bug or whether rockstar intended it this way but purposefully didn’t write it that way so people wouldn’t abuse it?

Did either of you set up 2-step verification for your social club accounts? They were giving away a $500k bonus for that so maybe that's it? I guess it doesn't make sense if you got $1mil though

That's been happening to me a lot lately. Got kicked for idling in the spectator booth yesterday and after 7 minutes of cloud simulator I finally landed in a session only to be sent back to story mode.

Yeah, the arena really did a number on my expectations. (Not that other DLC didn't but at least it wasn't quite as expensive and random, we knew where we stood more and what to do to get what).

 

But for a long time now, casino talk tends to get shut down rather quickly. At least now we know that theme is due, it is nice to see some of the great ideas that could have made it great. And some of the bad ones are entertaining at times too, lol.

 

Would be awesome if the recent spell of bonuses on older content, and RDRO set to add role playing aspects, (and the feedback) that they add a bit more depth. But probably just dreaming.

Considering how ...not at all bad, on the whole Red Dead Online is (particularly since coming out of beta - towns aren't ghost towns anymore, Defensive Mode does largely work in letting PvE players avoid getting bugged by trigger-happy randos, etc.), I'd like to believe that the casino update has been handled in a similar way, and will mark a step up from past updates...

 

...or with RDO being the place for more grounded, immersive stuff, they'll just double down on the over-the-top nonsense in GTAO, because that's largely what GTAO is these days. We'll see, I guess - but I'm tuning it out for the time being (just like I did with Arena War), and will only check in (other than to snag any free t-shirts - FOMO is a pain in the ass like that... ) if anything really impressive comes out of it.

I'm yet to find my way in RDRO and feel my best days there are behind me. (Story mode is a goldmine for me though, I'll not ramble, lol). But it's cool to hear you're enjoying your game of it over there.

 

I'm just hoping to catch R* in a moment where the immersion of RDRO and possibly GTA, if they're trying to show they can do that stuff to help RDR appeal more to the GTA gamers still here, is being focused on and how unstable GTA:O is for solo public If it's needed, but certainly anything accessible from invite only. (The arena did that aspect perfectly, full access).

 

I've probably made it sound more complicated than it is in my mind.

In my usual MTU lobby, have it set to 666 (hehe) which is usually pretty good for keeping me solo, check the list to make sure I’m still alone, yep, fine. Drive 87 meters to my club. Check again 7 people have joined. That was bloody quick!!!

 

 

Edit: switch sessions and “timed out finding session” ofc. 

 

Edit 2: and then “there was an error joining a session” 3 seconds after joining a session. Ugh. 

 

Edit 3: finally join a session and someone instantly joins again. I was hoping to make some sales but I’m not risking it now.

Try hiding your online status. That seems to help keep people from joining  my solo publics.

Try switching to free aim, as they tend to be less populated. Combined with the MTU, you would be much more likely to get empty sessions and remain in empty sessions.

I honestly might do this if it weren’t for the crazy aimbot NPC’s lmao I’d probably get shredded. 

I managed to get a session to myself for the rest of the night anyway. Luckily it doesn’t happen often. Strange that it was happening so much tonight!

Are you in any communities or a large crew? If so that could be where the randoms are coming from. Other than that I'm not sure how so many people join your sessions. Usually if randoms join my solo sessions I end up lagging out naturally. Or they leave. Oddly enough, I use 800 As my mtu setting and almost never get more than two or three people that join.

Someone had a God mode speedo custom on the lobby and was basically killing everybody he came across too. Eventually the cops managed to kill him and 5 of us took turns on him/her by griefing till that person left. I reported him to rockstar but I'll doubt they'll do anything.

Not in a community and I’m in my own crew by myself lmao 

Even at the lowest setting of 576 I still had people joining so I upped it because it wasn’t worth the time it was taking to find a session. 666 has been working great for me apart from tonight.

Thats odd. Maybe its just an unlucky spell or something and it'll work it's way through. I don't know anything about how the game picks sessions to stick people in outside of specifically joining someone so I'm not much use in that regard. But I think it's just ebbs and flows, sometimes it always sticks you alone in a session and no one joins, other times you just can't get away from everyone.

I swear Rockstar has code in place to force people into your lobby when you start a sale.

 

Half the time I start a sale mission I’ll sit at the computer, do a last-minute check to make sure I’m still in a lobby by myself, start the sale, and be greeted with “II1II1IIII11III1 has left the session” the moment I’m outside with the sale vehicle.

Why does the Rockstar editor always darken the clips that are filmed at night? It doesn't do that with the clips taken during the day. I always have to remind myself to adjust the contract by at least -20 on any night clips before I export them into the video gallery. It makes no sense.

A definition of free dlc would be when everything on the beach bum pack was free. 

 

I see GTA O DLC as update to a catalog.

yet the player himself was in a jet and than on foot and could not be killed.

not even by explosions.

 

was that the godmode that's been doing the rounds?
