Nothing big really. If you do about 5 gang attacks containing the same gang, you'll get a text from the gang leader (I think) who'll threaten you and send some hitmen your way. I'm sure that's stilla thing. Did it last year when I was really bored and brought a Khanjali to gang attacks

If I remember correctly you could never join a job or anything in solo. Guess it's a do not disturb mode or something.

 

NPCs still call you every 5 seconds though so, idk

There is a tattoo that is unlocked by doing a bunch of gang attacks in a day. I thought there was some kind of award for doing them without dying too, but I might be misremembering on that one.

Even with a weaponized vehicle the Gang Attacks really aren't worth the effort for 500 RP only. I recently completed the award for doing 5 in one game day and now i'll never touch them again lol.

Don't forget some of the crates have universal ammo that you could use for example to add 100 sniper rounds, which are worth $725.

You can also get up to like 1.5k in cash from the dead enemies but that's if it doesn't all de-spawn first by the time you go to pick it up!

They become too dangerous as they level up, I guess we can be glad it's not the density of TLaD gang wars where you get a nice welcome committee (you will run backwards if not contained) .

 

And the weapons of the gangsters and the crates are subject to the soft ammo cap, only ammo pickups aren't (they look like Assault Rifle magazines) .

Happens too often in GTA really, with the character failing to pull out their gun after doing whatever when they had it out previously.

On a related note, I am not sure if I'm the only player that dislikes having to press right or E or whatever to pick stuff, I wish I could just pick it up by coming close to it.

It's as consistent as stealth missions (may be allowed to take out guards) , you can even pick up from a vehicle sometimes.

Not that anyone really cared about the feature but y'all remember how they made it possible to Email other players (lol I know)? Yeah that's broken now, "compose new" just force closes the internet (Laptop and Phone do this), open again hard exit, before allowing you to browse the internet again on the second reopen.

After a certain point, TLaD's gang wars turn into Mafia DE + Battlefield 4.

That's what Rockstar is doing with the Freemode creator.

 

They added two new drip feed freemode events with this latest update.

 

Smuggler Plane and Smuggler Trail.

 

And all of this is definitely not gonna be the last batch of new freemode events we would get to experience. So only a matter of time until we receive a new one similar to the Armored Truck.

A Freemode Event with the freight train would be cool too! 

 

Just take the Merryweather train from that Tuner contract, make the goons un-lockable by missiles and use them as a mobile Gang Attack. 

 

Even a Business Battle, hijacking a moving Cartel train escorted by weaponized Caracaras to get crates or duffel bags would be fun.
