Can’t wait to see Arthur in ragdoll mode getting into an alligator death roll...

Be care fishing in Lemoyne... keep your eyes on the lookout while fishing due to alligators lurking in the area.

Yeah I'm really excited for the INTRO.

Max Payne 3 was AMAZING at that, the flashback overlay thing especially. and the original score was back. it is one of the best game intros ever!

GTA V on the other hand, that intro with michael at therapy was OKAY, I liked it but not on that Max Payne 3 level. maybe because I didn't know Michael, while I was more than happy to see Max Payne back around the block! in brazil. whatever...

and the intro of RDR, oh that was/is really awesome, the ride on the train thing. very artistic approach and pretty much epic, in one word.

can't wait to see the intro of RDR2!

i think the intro is going to be a train / bank heist that goes wrong, the gang splits up and you then take control of Arthur and everything that leads up to getting back to the camp serves as a tutorial.

Wonder what kind of ammunition this is on Arthur's bandolier? Notice the red bullets. Likely some special kind of ammo.

Having read in one of the reviews that we can take an NPC's hat, I wonder how far that extends to other things we can take, gloves? their coat? their full attire?

Also in another review someone mentioned grabbing a gun from a "display" (don't remember if it were the player or NPC) but I hope we can claim any loose weapon we see or claim the one off an NPC we kill.

What I really like about RDR's intro is that it's not actually epic. It's boring. He's just riding a train. We get a quiet and calm look at this new world. We hear NPC's chattering about religion, technology, and politics. We don't start with a bang, like Max Payne 3 or GTA V (which truly starts with the opening bank heist in North Yankton). I have to wonder if RDR2 will take the same approach. Show us a quiet introduction into the world, rather than a loud action moment. I suspect that RDR2 will start with the Blackwater heist that goes wrong, but it could also be much more calm than that, since that's what the game is going for, the calm moments and the little details and interactions. We'll have to see.

Thanks to GTA and GTA Online, R* had enough funds and time on their hands to create this masterpiece. There's no way the game would've been this great if they would've rushed themselves.

It isn't just the funds; they must have great management and middle management too. Collectively, all the studios coming together like a big 6 cylinder engine to churn out RDR2. I suppose in this analogy, the management is the gearbox and of course the money is the fuel which keeps the engine going. 😂

Took me a minute to realise that this is Arthur! The trousers and belt gave it away. He suits that beard. :inlove:

I really hope we get interviews with aaron garbut and dan on what it took to make this thing. The amount of reference material they must have captured...

Maybe this will blow your mind like it blew mine when i thought of it.

What if Rockstar is bringing the ability to play as any animal back.

Yeah, it was fun for 10 minutes in GTA, but in THIS world, with so many other animals, all with unique behaviors.

Yeah...just as I expected. My mind is blown again.

the intro of RDR being simple is what makes it epic, paired with the music. that string of a threatening harmonica or something. and yes the "natural" simplicity of it. the smoke rising from the train, or marston's pupils moving fast when he studies the landscape going by.

Max Payne 3 is f*cking awesome. However, my favorite Rockstar intro to this day is from Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Sonny and the other two wiseguys sitting at the table with (Mr. Mister’s, Broken Wings playing in the background) followed by Ken picking up Tommy, Harry and Lee at the airport ultimately taking them to the Vice City Docks for the meet with Vic Vance (with Lance in the helicopter) with a badass musical score setting the drug deal vibe. Chills after all these years!

Now listen very carefully kids never, under any circumstances, ever let this man into your house.

He will shoot you and steal all your stuff period.

I wonder if we can actually freeze to death, seeing as temperature is actually a stat now.

I have a feeling we'll freeze to death if we reach the map border in some parts of the world. I hope we can freeze if we are not equipped well enough too though.
