Never thought in my life, I’d be a man in his 30’s, successful job in London - taking a week off just to play a new PlayStation game!

This game is going to be an experience more than a game.  Proper time is required to let it sink in.

I'm 10 years older, but I'm only taking 3 days off...LOL.

This might sound a bit technical, but it's kind of a big deal to me. What I REALLY hope for, is that the IF the peds/people in the game have Euphoria "brains and nervous systems" AND Rockstar still use their propriertary Fred/Wilma Rage Ragdolls, then I can't overstate how important it is to me that Rockstar has remembered to LOWER the Euphoria ActivationImpulse threshold this time around. 

 

In other words. A simple nudge should be enough to trigger a reaction. Not a big reaction. But a reaction nevertheless. In GTA V the vanilla ActivationImpulsethreshold was really high, and the total number of NatualMotionAgents was only 3. That was the core reason why you had to RUN into pedestrians to make them budge, and that walking or running into people during combat or other events VERY rarely triggered a Euphoria reaction. To me it would let me down if Rockstar once again has raised the threshold in order to either prevent "bugs" or to save system memory. I would rather experience a couple of dips and the occasional clipping, than have a non-ballistic impulse physics system similar to Assassin's Creed or the Far Cry series. 

 

I also hope that IF CtaskWrithe (the way pedestrians in GTA V rolled over and died in seconds, regardless of their game health or where they were shot) is still in their code, it will not trigger automatic in all circumstances. Only people who later modded GTA V on pc, got to experience the InjuredOnGroundTask Euphoria system, that was RIGHT beneath the boring and predictable CtaskWrithe activation. 

 

So to sum it up.

 

In RDR2, people getting shot should only fall down naturally, and limp and stuff. I also hope that the same system that controls how the transfer of momentum through bullets move the person, also will remain activated during every other people to people interaction.

 

And finally, to show you a bit of what I am talking about, instead of just writing a wall of text, here is a video showing GTA V with a much lower activation threshold,  that I just made testing some new jumping velocity edits in GTA V.

Hey guys, I've come across some interesting informations in a french preview, some look new, others reworded. (Possible spoilers for features such as fist fighting, respawning, interaction system. If you prefer to discover those mechanics by yourself, I suggest you shouldn't read this)

 

_ "This is where we see that Rockstar Games has completely revised fistfighting system. Not only has the system been significantly enriched with the ability to dodge attacks (with backdashes), to parry them, to block them, but you can also grab the opponents in different ways, including the neck to strangle them if necessary. Beware of when multiple NPCs start joining the fight, because they are fearsome, and you can't eliminate them with 2 or 3 hits as it was the case in GTA V for example. When many, they do not hesitate to attack together, with what we thought was a certain strategy. It's a little early to confirm, but we had the impression that the AI was analyzing our movements in order to wait for the right moment to attack, especially when we were in a vulnerable position; precisely when Arthur begins strangling the enemy. Proof of this, our first fistfight ended in a surprisingly quick death."

After next week, there's really only 3 weeks left of marketing as I don't see anything other than reviews during the week of October 22nd.  I still can't believe we're this close.

 

Prediction for next week:  Possibly more previews, another feature section added (hoping for wildlife), another t-shirt give-away, gameplay trailer later in the week.

I wish people would stop whining about the f*cking game physics. It's confirmed to be the same as the first game and hugely improved, and theres even a gameplay video to prove it.

Ha amd I'm at least ten years older than you in numbers but I'm more like an excitable ten year old kid....  :)

I just find it ridiculous talking about such a minor thing that is already in the game. It's constant on this forum, it's annoying.

Arthur has enough testosterone left in his balls to call an old lady a "Soulless wretch" so i'm not worried that he will be a nervous dude at all. Besides it has been confirmed that Arthur can hire prostitutes, so him being a nervous dude around chicks makes no sense.

We'll probably have to use eagle eye and try to spot flowers that are highlighted i imagine. Several journalists play RDR2 for 4 hours and they still haven't tested this out. lol
