I posted the screenshots from yesterdays blow out of info to share with my cousin he was like " Spider-Man has this game beat easily  "

He said about RDR 2? I said yes 

He replied with no.

 

I just laughed and said ill see you when the game awards come around.

I agree. I think the ending won't be so happy... I don't think he will die, but still could be quite heartbreaking seeing him go. The only way this would be forgivable is if they let us play as John Marston at the end.... I know a lot of people are against this idea, but IF Arthur survived I would be all for it... It would be a beautiful tribute to the first game and probably hit even the people who think negatively of that outcome, with major nostalgia. Especially since wiethoff is back... God if John had a different V\O it just would not be the same.

Ive been thinking about the possible story ending....

 

Imagine if after a lot of gang members die, Dutch goes totally insane and the gang splits up. John and his family try to flee. Arthur and Sadie help them. Sadie dies and it looks like Arthur does as well. Arthur flees to that (caribic?) island on the map and we play a short epilogue there. Afterwards we can decide to play as him and return to the main map OR decide to play as John from now on, with Beecher's Hope as his new home.

 

I mean, it would be kinda cool but seems unlikely. 

 

Realistically I do think Arthur survives. Him dying would be almost expected unless John betrays and kills him.

Yeah well Dan was definitely not thinking about the script of a prequel when RDR was coming out though I can see them coming up with a reason as to why he doesn't get mentioned in Redemption. Doesn't necessarily mean he has to die. About Red Dead games having a theme of death, I'm not sure. We've only had 3 games in this series. Revolver was about Red's revenge. Redemption was about John's Redemption. RDR2 is a prequel that will most likely be about Arthur's redemption as well. We have to wait and see what the next game is about.

I don't know if this has been asked before but there is wayyy too many pages to read. With RDR2 beining as insanely detailed as it is, what details do you hope to see with animals in the game?

John's death came unexpected, was shocking, sad yet made all the sense in the world. It left me be speechless.

 

 

They would really have to come up with something special to top John's death with Arthur's.

I mean, it will be understandable if Arthur want's a way out as the story unfolds...you know w/ Dutch going crazy and all. But then again will he stay loyal?

 

One thing that RedDeadRadio pointed out that Arthur & John ain't on the same terms, they stated they don't get along. Which brings me to the whole Jesse James & Robert Ford likeness

Are you talking about women being outlaws was impossible back then, or that black people didn't exist or both? Because Google would make you understand fast that It's not political correction with them adding females to the story.

I'm gonna play my Arthur as a freedom loving outlaw. He hates the government and everything they stand for, but he's not a cruel person. He'd let people be as long as they're not pricks, but everyone else is fair game. He doesn't want to start trouble unless someones earned it

Agreed.. honestly though I think Arthur and John may start out like that but the relationship will develop (depending on your choices maybe, or story related or both) honestly. I think that John is gonna be a cocky little sh*t and Arthur will be the wiser big brother type that's tough on John, and John won't like that. But I think John will come to understand why Arthur is the way he is to him,through the course of the game. That's my theory there on those two.

My theory as well. That line in the first trailer is important. There's a reason Rockstar put it in there...

This may sound obvoius but Arthur's redemption should still come into play in the story somehow. I wonder how though. Maybe Arthur does some bad things for Dutch like killing some gang members but redeems himself by saving John idk.

Yeah some people say "Redemption" is just a part of the name now. I don't believe that tbh. If the game was called Redemption 2 but wasn't related to the first one I could understand that but right now, nope.

Well buddy, it's an amazing theory if I say so myself :), i think we are onto something. also, trailer 3.... You know the scene I'm talking about.. god I just love the idea of Arthur and John interacting. I actually hope they like hate each other at first but develop into friends and get close. That's better that way than them just liking each other first thing

Anyone planning to use that special tonic which makes your hair and beard grow faster? I think I'll let it grow naturally to see how long it takes. I think Arthur's beard can be as long as we saw in one of the older screenshots with Arthur's back turned. I'm more interested in  seeing how long our hair can get and if we can make Arthur bald at the beginning of the game.

I feel like this game might have a bit of a horseshoe effect... there are so many details and little touches that it'll spoil us and we'll be disappointed when some things aren't as detailed... like  "wow Arthur doesn't get splinters in his hand if you fall on a wooded floor? 0/10 the first game was better"
