For all of you worried about the physics, comparing it to GTA V, it is important to remember that Euphoria in GTA V was simply dialed down and partially disabled in some files.

When you re-activate these settings in the files you will find that the GTA V version of the Rage engine actually contains more Euphoria options than both IV, Red Dead and MP3.

 

Here's a short video of my new melee system alpha, with some of the more "exotic" behaviors re-activated.

So knowing how packed GTA V was with Euphoria behavior settings and params, I have NO fear that RDR2 will be even more nuanced and sophisticated.

Definitely.

Pretty sure there's at least a couple of old screenshots of John and Sadie fighting back to back defending a camp, and it looks like Pearson has fallen in one of those pics. 

 

The gameplay trailer also mentioned how we'll have to dig up and move out to a new camp from time to time....I'm sure sometimes that will be voluntary, with the need to explore more distant regions; but a lot of times it will be simply that the heat is on and the local posse will drive us out.   I'm hoping that extends to animal attacks as well as human.

Ive only read one article so far damn it this crazy..., I wanna see them all but trying to avoid the one with any actual story bits. Does it confirm you still have the hat fall off though? Just that alone is really exciting... They have enough hardcore elements as it is!! I ain't even mad. I'm loving the direction they took with this. It's very clear they know what makes red dead exactly that.. a RED DEAD GAME. NOT grand theft horse.

Yeah,  it isn't even that big of an issue as you say, the game is packed full of features as is. Yes they confirm losing your hat indirecty, an icon for it appears on the mini-map so you can pick it up.

After moseying down to chat with the flustered Bill Williamson, you're asked to help by unspooling a length of wire and connecting it to a TNT detonator. The flow between cutscene, interactive moments, and canned animations appeared smooth here, and once the train arrived, some elegant editing helped heighten the moment, quickly cutting between the gang, the train, and the TNT. But, perhaps unsurprisingly, the TNT fails to go off. Williamson messed up.

Arthur has needs, too, like eating and sleeping. As you play, Arthur gets hungry and tired over time. If you don’t eat or sleep, you won’t regenerate your health or stamina as quickly. It doesn’t seem to veer into pure simulation territory, but I did eat a snack before a gunfight just in case. I can’t say for certain how it works over longer sessions, but Rockstar is adamant that, like the weapon cleaning, it’s not designed to be intrusive. Instead, it’s a way to remind players that Arthur is a person, and not just a hunk of meat that’s entirely self-sustaining.

Stamina and fatigue confirmed.  They say it's not intrusive, but no journo has been able to test it for long play sessions.

Oh wait. Not amazing!!! Lol my reply was to wild Phil Hickock but the forum lagged and my post went later than intended lol. But wow... No surprise at all. Honestly I really hate that.
