I can't help it. I always start thinking what's next in 2 to 5 years rather than think about what we have or is coming out in a few months.

Heh. I'm kinda the same way. It's kinda exciting to think about the future imo. So uhh... Anyone hyped for Red Dead 4? lmao

I'm thinking we'll play as a lawman in Red Dead 4. John was sort of like a bounty hunter. Not a good guy but not a bad guy either. Arthur is an outlaw of a notorious gang. It would make sense if the next game was about a lawman in the golden age of the west.

What about a lawman that becomes an outlaw by the end? Like he breaks bad (HAH, sorry) or something...

Damn I'd like that, actually. Maybe he's not exactly a fair lawman at all and people actually dislike him. We'll have to wait and see till 2027.

At this point, I think we'll get the second gameplay video after the previews. We can see some screenshots and read about it and then a week or so after that, we can see it in action.

Sure looks like it. I hope that the previews answer more of the weird questions some of us may have. Will health re-gen make a return? Will dead bodies decay as well? Is there a companion system? How will crafting work? etc etc

Something tells me that I'm gonna have much more fun with RDR2 than I had with GTA V.

One of the things that makes Red Dead more interesting than a modern-time Grand Theft Auto game is that it's set in a completely different time to ours, allowing us to meet with character archetypes that are unpredictable to our life-based experience, reading and listening to stories in a very different and old time. It's one reason why my favorite movies are always those that are usually 10+ years older in terms of movie's setting. Not to trying to discuss V, but one way I dislike it is for it being too contemporary and associated with the modern high-tech life.

Excellent post. What you said is the reason I'm so drawn into entertainers such as actors and musicians who passed away before I was born. They just feel more unique when you know they were at this place at a different time. This will include my interest for Arthur Morgan compared to Michael from GTA 5 for an example.

Would anyone be disappointed if there was no five finger fillet or hand wresting? Loved that challenge. Different game mechanic. There was a sense of satisfaction when I completed it.

Wasn't that good at five finger fillet but I always enjoyed arm wrestling. I imagine five finger fillet would look pretty nasty but cool on RDR 2

I honestly can't remember how good I was at it. But I had a sense of accomplishment when I did it. 

But yeah I can imagine it pretty brutal in RDR2, especially if it was against that fitty Sadie.

I wonder how in-depth they will go with the bow and arrow. Same goes for throwing knives. It will be interesting to see how NPC's react based on where we hit them.

Never really used the throwing knives much. I always liked the up-close stabby stabby thing you could do with them though
