Agreed.  The next two weeks for me will be the worst.  October should be easy because there should be a ton of information coming out.

The only thing worse for me will be release week and my work day on October 25th.  The hype and excitement should help a little though.

I took the launch day and the rest of the week off lmfao!

I think there's no way that there's not RDR2 news coming next week, right? I mean there have to be RDR2 news next week!

If these last two years has taught you anything it should teach you not to make ANY assumptions about when info is coming.

Yeah, obviously but they are running out of time ... I think next Thursday is a very good guess for gameplay video part 2 (unless they cancelled it!)

So tease next Wednesday ... let's do this again. lol

I can already see hundreds of people here gathering around for our weekly Wednesday-gameplay-video-tease procedure. 😂

God damn it it's 5 and still nothing.... they are really trolling us.. At least they could say : Coming next week or in 2 weeks : SOMETHING ! But why would they leave us in despair, waiting for something like idiots..

The fact that theyve been quiet this week should speak volumes. Big info has to be coming soon. Don't they always do this quiet before the storm?

Keep yourself busy with something. Don't think about the game 24/7. Just friendly advice.

So who else is very excited for Luigi's Mansion 3 coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch next year!

Personally, I'm more excited for Link's Motrocycle being featured in G... Oh, nevermind.

During the long drought period, I would've agreed with you.  With a little over a month left to go, I don't need info dates.  Just drop that sh*t like it's hot.

They're quiet 98% of the time and hype stuff 2% of the time, if that's what you mean.

Chinese Takeout

Part of me is dreading 10/26. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to lose myself in this game. But, I'm also the kind of dude who...when I get close to the end of a good book I'm reading, I'll put that bastard down on my nightstand and stop reading it...because - get this - I don't want the experience to END! How stupid is that? But, I do it. Every time. Sometimes it takes a month before finally pick the book back up and finish it.

It's sort of like that in here. I'm really enjoying piecing together the map from the videos and screens. As much as I'm anxious to play the game, I realize that when I finally do saddle up, this thing that I really enjoy will only be a memory. This is, of course, true for anything you look forward to.

I guess what I'm saying is, I'll miss looking forward to the launch of RDR2, shivering in anticip.........

It's all good. Just wait for RDR3 in 8 years.

Or hopefully Bully 2 shortly after RDR2 releases! (2-3 years)

What he was describing can basically be said about any Rockstar title. We've been waiting and we're finally getting there. It's kind of a sweet bitter thing.

No, GTA6 will be in 8 years. RDR3 will be in 12, if I'm doing the math right.

Did GTA V have a Day 1 patch?

If I remember correctly it did have... And I think pretty much every game has that nowadays.

No one can do the math right when it comes to rockstar.

If GTA Online continues to do well and Red Dead Online continues that trend, there'll be no rush for them to push out a new title. For all we know RDR 2 may be their only title for this generation of consoles.

I have a feeling r* will only bring out 1 title per generation and a port

I feel you.  Nothing is going to beat the feeling and emotion of that first play-through.  When that R logo fades in and press the start button for the first time, when you see the first mission start as you sit riveted through the into cut scene, when you hit pause for the first time to gaze at the scope and beauty of the in-game map.

I remember like yesterday when the loading screen ended and the words 'Lundendorff, North Yankton, nine years ago.' appeared on screen.  My heart was pounding, I was smiling ear to ear and I had no idea what to expect.  Sure, you'll enjoy subsequent play-throughs, but that first time....magical.

Tying into that, and this will sound crazy..all this speculating, not knowing, guessing about info, etc....we'll all miss it.  We're going to be at a point in 6 short weeks where all this will be over.  A lot of us will be saying our good-byes as we disappear to avoid spoilers.  I guess the point is, even though it's frustrating, cherish it.  All this is kind of what brought us here and created this community of outlaws, isn't it ?

I thin RDO will do well but nowhere near as well as GTAO. I believe it would be a really stupid move to make RDO their main source of income. So many people don't care for that game and I bet many will stop playing it after they realise it doesn't have RPGs, fast cars, nice clothes etc. So many of my friends don't care for that game which is completley understandable. "Milking" GTA Online after RDR2 until they at least annonounce the next GTA is the smartest thing to do imo.

I think anyone doubting how popular RDRO will be because it doesn't have cars, helicopters, explosives or whatever is gonna be in for a surprise.

No one is going into RDR2 or RDRO expecting GTA V/O in the wild west. It isn't even being marketed like that. People will like it because of what it is, a refreshing new experience, rather than what it's not.

It's that first dialogue that get's me, be it from the protagonist or not...i just wanna hear a one liner from Arthur as the game fades from black or something, seriously can't wait!

Of course but many people will just not like it and get bored of it. It's not just about RDO it's about RDR2 as a whole. It's nowhere near as popular as GTA.
