Grand Theft Auto Online was released on October 1, 2013, 14 days after the actual game. Even then it was a glitchy launch and they really didn't have it going optimally till a month later if memory serves.

The lesson learned from GTA Online is to start early, get ranked up and get your unlocks, so you can benefit as much as possible from unpatched glitches during the short time window before Rockstar fixes them.  The players who came into GTAV later than the first several months didn't get the benefits of some of those classic, lucrative glitches and bugs.

For example, if you can collect a lot of glitched money, buy all the stables you can, and load them up with Mustang bonds, or whatever is the most expensive sell-able horse, so you can retain some of your ill-gotten gains after Rockstar purges everybody's glitched wealth.  Some glitches or bugs might require co-op efforts to exploit them, and of course, you will need co-op co-conspirators to trade races, headshots, and other metrics, to get some of your unlocks, so you should get those arrangements made in advance.   Also you'll want to arrange with co-op friends to do K/D pumping, using second, sacrificial characters.

Sorry to hear that man lol but have you played the first red dead online..? It really isn't like that. Of course there's some people like that in any online game but it really isn't that way. Red Dead has more of a mature audience and there's much more to do than just sell and grief people who don't want that.. it's too bad you're not looking forward to it cause of that :( its gonna be great imo. I know what it's like and it's been my favorite game since I was in 6th grade

yep gta online is full of tools now

cant even enjoy doing a online mission without some 10 year old with 200 million dollars blowing you up with a flying tank dragon machine whatever Rockstar sell on the shark cards.

I hope rdro doesn't end up like that

I might actually try online this time.  Probably in spring after I complete my first 100% single player run.

Your exactly right but I had flashbacks of punching each other out in the co-op lobby again and again lol.

I don't think griefing will be a big problem in RDO, since none of the tools that you have in GTAO will be available here, unless that they release a actual broomstick powered by witchcraft.

So I found that "leak" that was posted onto Reddit awhile back that originated from a gta discord, I would take it with a grain of salt. https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/8n5hth/alleged_rdr2_leak/?ref=share&ref_source=embed&utm_content=title&utm_medium=post_embed&utm_name=55538b3f079c4e7e826ad27eeff2240a&utm_source=embedly&utm_term=8n5hth

Personally the info saying deadeye won't slow time disqualifies it from being legitimate, even tho some interesting speculation on the bounty system and other online features

Edit: I was wrong they are talking about deadeye in online.

That leak is talking about Online I think, where Deadeye won't slowdown time.

The forum is under going some behind the scenes work or something, so it's a bit glitchy for the time being. See Spider's PSA at the top of the thread about it earlier.

Depends on what you mean by freaky. If it's taking very long to post yes, there's some temporary glitchiness going on with that.

Which is why I hope it comes 3 or 4+ weeks after launch. I don't want FOMO while trying to enjoy the story at my own pace. My wost case scenario is something like:

Me: I think I'll go fishing and then try to hook up with Karen. Again.

Friend: Yo, they got a new glitch that'll level you up really quick while AFK! You can unlock that gold-plated repeater tonight!

Me:       (  º____º )              ...F*ck

That’s pretty much what I meant.  That and I had some double posts.  No worries.

That’s the one...it’s got nope written all over it.

@BretMaverick777 @DuPz0r Any ideas where this crack house is ?

I've wondered about it.   There's a few clues:

*The climate.   There's some bare trees there, and Arthur is wearing a buckskin jacket instead of his usual sweaty blue denim work shirt.  So....it's cold there.  Maybe autumn.

*The terrain.  There's no noticeable mountains in the background, so I'm pretty sure we're not talking Grizzlies or Big Valley or Tall Trees.  No Great Plains, no Heartlands.  This is somewhere Down South....Scarlett Meadows, Bayou Nwa, or southern Roanoke.   Fairly deep woods, deciduous trees rather than evergreen conifers.   I can't make out any Spanish moss hanging, so that rules out Bayou.   So let's narrow it down to Scarlett Meadows or southern Roanoke.  There's no fences around, nor visible pastures, so this house doesn't favor a ranch, so let's rule out Rustler Homesteads... it's not Maclean's House,

TLDR:  I'd say it's Lonnie's Shack.

I think it's in the bayou of New Bordeaux where Lincoln insists on having sit-downs.

It was since it was free for PS4 last month. I thought the story was enteraing enough to want to finish and overall I am enjoying it. The gameplay is ridiculously repetitive though - 2 rackets in each district > each racket requires you to ambush a set number of sub-objective places and either kill, destroy or capture a target > after you've caused X amount of damage by completing the sub-objectives then you go after the racket boss > kill or recruit the 2 racket bosses in a district and then assign the rackets to one of your three underbosses > now you go after the Capo of the district and officially take it over > then assign the whole district to someone > rinse and repeat like 8 times i think > go after final boss. Cutscenes spliced in before and after pivotal points.

TLDR: I wouldn't pay more than $15 but it's fun killing racists and I like the story and cutscenes.

If memory serves didn't the trusted review leak or a different source talk about a new bounty system for online that utilized the new way we interact with townsfolk, wanted posters and other elements to make it more cat and mouse? I'm excited to be chasing down clues up into a mountain not quite sure what fight awaits.

I never heard about this rumor and it sounds so interesting that i could see Rockstar doing it.

Lmao, this article by Kotaku explains it pretty damn well

https://kotaku.com/gta-onlines-biggest-problem-is-other-players-1829039845/amp

GtaO was indeed very different back in it's early days from 2013-2014. Similar to IV's wonderful multiplayer. It's not to be a concern on RDR2's online though. RD1's online was fun and awesome. Just plain enjoyable. It's probably not going to change much regarding "the enjoyment" of the first Red Dead. We'll definitely have less brats yelling and screaming aiming a damn rocket at your vehicle or just random idiots in general going on a rampage.

If it's actually Red-Dead-related, it almost looks like some kind of concept art, possibly from the artbook.
