Page 2010? aright...

Redemption was made with love since 2005, released with care in 2010, played with passion until 2013, and now is a beautiful memory.

Still playing it today my boy ;) a instant classic never dies out.

What game will people on here look forward once RDR 2 comes out, and they "complete" it?

DMC 5, Sekiro, TLOU 2

Or he could be a smug little ass. I think we might see a young cocky version of John in the beginning of the game.

Im not even sure if i played RDR in 2010. Might have gotten it some time in 2011. Really the only reason i had gotten it was because i saw it was a new Rockstar game. Turned out to be one hell of a masterpiece. Lol. Glad i did that.

Nice one. Probably the "goat" combined games into one along with the orange box.

Hey maybe a strange topic, but here goes. Two days ago I started replaying Red Dead Redemption again and now that I look at it I noticed that wolves don't really howl in this game..They only bark :D

I hope rdr2 gives us some bone chilling wof cries.

My unpopular opinion about RDR: the Mexico part was the least interesting part. I just liked the part from the beginning up until Mexico waaay better. The characters in Mexico are boring(exept Landon Ricketts) and i saw the army’s betrayal coming from a mile away. Also I just didn’t like the location, but that’s probably me. Dont get me wrong, this is my my favorite game of all time and I’ve played it to death.

I completely agree but I always thought that was the general idea from majority of the fans. The reason people liked Mexico was because of the atmosphere and scenery, not the pacing of the story. One of the most dead on quotes in the game is when you're riding to Cochinay in the mission "And The Truth Will Set You Free" and John debates with Archer Fordham and Archer tells John that he ran like a headless chicken in Mexico, because that was pretty much what he did until the last 2 missions there. Best chapter out of the 3 for me was definitely West Elizabeth.

Took the words right outta my mouth. I loved the whole game and even a lot of missions in the Mexico section but compared to the rest I had things that were my favorite more so than there. I hope Landon ricketts voice actor was able to do work on RDR2 before he died:(, loved that guy. What I loved about Mexico is exactly that. The atmosphere. Felt straight out of a Clint Eastwood movie especially when wearing the poncho. It was nostalgic and epic. Can't wait for RDR2 to be in more grasslands but it's also confirmed to have snow, deserts, plains, praries, swamps etc.... Gonna be packed with different areas. Oh and @SuperKitsune lol yes about your comment on the wolves. I thought they always sounded like the resident evil dogs

The context of Nuevo Paraiso - the war - was far more important that John's quest.

That's why, in order to succeed, the quest had to revolve around the resolution of the war.

I understand the annoyance. John himself was greatly annoyed. 🤭

Ross Hagen was a great man that will be dearly missed. I think of it as a gift he left behind us before he passed away, he nailed Landon Ricketts's character with his unique voice. Yeah it's gonna be awesome to explore so many different areas in just one game. Who knows, if the leaked map is true, we might see Mexico again too, as the island has spanish names with the towns in it. I personally hope it's something new though, like Cuba perhaps.

@damienrayemusic

Ironically the only animals that howl in rdr1 are those pesky coyotes.

Two days in and my hate for cougars has come back in full effect lol. MAJOR F*cking annoyance when trying to pick herbs :p

I know bears are more lethal and all and they make almost no noise which makes them more dangerous. That cougar screech makes my hairs stand up everytime lol :D

Anyways cougars are probably still going to crash parties in rdr2 lol haha.

It's not really a unpopular opinion. The general consensus from most people is the Mexico portion dragged the game down and I agree. Not surprising that it's also where development hit a wall and the game went into development hell.

I just remember Mexico sucking all the fun out of the game and just hopping to multiplayer while mustering the will to push through the story to past there.

guys don't forget this gem from 2011 !!!

Oh boy these 2000 pages actually make the wait a little more fun because us R* fans get the chance to remember the games from each iconic year that it released. 2012 is next.... You know what's coming. The game that inspired a lot of RDR2's mechanics.... Time for the Maximum Payne

Son of a bitch, I was trying to figure out what R* game came in 2011. Smh I couldn't remember and it was bothering me a little, lol.

L.A noire was a damn good game aswell. The motion capture of the characters faces was f*cking amazing in that game. Unique for that R* title.

Quick someBODY post a L.A noire trailer cause I'm too lazy to even past it here, lolz.

Ah yes, the time when DGSimo wanted to throw all the "give us gta5" commentators in the Newswire off a cliff. Then Rockstar did the bone headed move on taking focus away from arguably their best shooter, Max Payne 3, for a game that wouldn't see more info for a year nor be released for another 2 years from the announcement. Dipsh*ts.

Good to see not much has changed then.

Eh to each their own. We all don't like the same things which is fine! Detective games may be boring for some people or just not like it for any reason, I love L.A Noire though. Phelps was great. And it actually made the wait for RDR2 just a little bit easier for me personally when they did the 4k remaster. I hoped for years that it'd become backwards compatible

Page 2014 to 2017 is going to be depressing.

😆😆😆 I mean, we could post RDR2 development type stuff since that's when they were making the game all this time. At least in 2016\ 2017 maybe we could post\requote when we found some of the voice actors from digging around! 2014 and 2015 I think that R* did GTAO RDR themed playlists..? Can't remember . We will figure something out. Oh boi can't wait for page 2018... Can see all the RDR2 memes\trailer callbacks \written out trailer quotes already

Edited by damienrayemusic
Scratch that. Memes will start at page 2016....

I enjoyed gta v, i got it a month later after release. So i spoiled my self watching streamers play the game and i knew the entire map before even playing. I'm definitely not making that same mistake with RDR2. Exploring the map of a rockstar game for the first time makes it 10x more enjoyable.
