1. Yes! I loved the herding missions it was very atmospheric. You got to know John and Bonnie BEFORE tons of action went down, that was done properly. Action is better when you're invested in a characteralready caring about them... Rockstar knows this. I love Arthur already too so even if it starts with blackwater massacre which I hope it does btw... Will be magical!! 2. Subtitles!! I love following along with it and red dead redemption specifically has some of my favorite font ever in any entertainment. The little things R* does like color coding important things and whatnot. Just love everything about their games, yes subtitles always.

Thanks brotha. Right back at ya! And I do have to say I assume I was definitely one of the people you thought about here in the statement, just being completely honest to credit myself for once, I think out of all this time waiting and waiting, I never once lost faith or got all negative about the game. Again, I was given the title peace officer by @PapaFuerte 

for a reason bet he will be back btw once gameplay 2 drops

I fell off Too many damn canyons killing my damn horse and running through the flipping cougar infested desert sans said horse (hardcore mode) to the nearest damn villa to not finally relax and just herd some obstinate cows at the end. Say what you will that ending chapter felt deserved and right. Also subtitles are great when ur in an apt and don't want to wake everybody up.

My wife wants to listen in and as much as she says she's not paying attention she reads the subtitles and asks questions, then often recoils in horror as she hears the skinning animation for the 3692 time.

Guys after reading today ign articles, I figured the game of the year won't be god of war nor red dead redemption 2.

 

It's going to be "streets of rage 4", hands down.

After months of waiting and the droughts of info it feels so weird to me that next month we'll actually have the game and be playing it

About the comments of the Gamestop event and criticism in general, I do not give a sh*t. I never stopped playing something because other people or "Specialized Media" did not like it.

I only today found out you can jump from your horse on a train in RDR1. So cool! I hope the train has it's own ambient theme in RDR2. One for when you just travel somewhere and a more intense version of that if you're robbing it.

I really hope that dynamite will be clearly visible on you if you have it equipped so it blows up if someone shoots it. That would balance it out pretty well I'd say. They already have something like that with sticky bombs in gta but they're too hard to hit.

1)Nope.I actually didn't like them. They were boring to me but if R* have found a way to make it more exciting in RDR2 I'm ready to give it another chance. 

2)with subtitles. But I will turn them off if they are "way" ahead of the current words because it will be some sort of a spoiler. Especially Ubisoft games really suck in that regard.

That Eurogamer article is genuinely embarassing. I didn't realize they were that hard up for views, I thought someone was trying to link a legacy video but shockingly it's an outlet.

 

The more embarrassing part was heading over to ERA and seeing a 500 page topic on the matter. Thanks to Eurogamer the topic creator was able to skew a narrative that the demo was so boring the game must be bad and quoted "the interesting" parts but obviously left out the last quite that gave context to the whole situation. Oy vey.

I've both had my dyno shot and shot another player's.  I think it's usually a lucky shot but either way - when it's the other guy I feel like a sharpshooter. When it's me, pretty dam humiliating.

Same with the fire bottle.

It's mentioning how some people literally think red dead redemption is a bad and "boring" game cause some people couldn't get past the Bonnie MacFarlane missions. They literally thought that's ALL the game was. Especially these days how attention span are it's just sad. Like I said I personally loved the missions, it was nice to hear the dialogue between John and Bonnie and see John doing a more lighthearted thing amidst all the upcoming action. Which is made better and more impactful with slow moments to balance it out... I had a friend before that tried to play RDR, and it's fine he didn't like it but he straight up looked at me and said "this game is trash bro let's play COD" and I wanted to slap him in the face the. Such stupidity the whole game is 'trash' because a few herding missions that don't even make up half of the damn game. Lol. So since still talking about it in the thread , guys don't take the negatives seriously.

Yeah next month we’ll finally have it but R* keeps doing what they always do. I think they haven’t realized yet that they have only 53 days to show what they have in their hands. They’re not showing anything. They released the gameplay like a month ago. Classic R*.

Do you guys think that sony will  want R* to hold the gameplay part 2 till spiderman releases ( 7 sep ) and not let them release the trailer one day before their big exclusive release i.e thursday 6th , i mean they have the marketing for rdr 2 , they can influence or force them to hold it till the next week

These “media” people in gaming are no really different than us in these threads....they just have a bigger platform to voice their biased opinions

lol Spider-Man is a far bigger IP and brand than RDR2 or much of anything out there and a trailer isn't going to affect anything.

 

Nobody is going to stop their news or reveals this week just because of one major release.

Yeah exactly this is the way I think of it. People tend to forget people in career positions of the entertainment industry are humans too... They all have their preferences. Some of them may not like westerns, like FPS only. Not play games at all, just work for GS.. etc. Too many possibilities to know. Which is why I wish the world would value their OWN opinion more even if others don't approve of it or agree!
