Wow, it is unimaginable. I remember that everyone waited for an announcement waaay back in E3 2016 and nothing happened. We all waited and Shawn Layden said ''we got a surprise announcement at the end of the conference.''. We all waited and they showed Days Gone instead of RDR2. And everyone thought it was because of the Orlando shootout:(

Omg I remember that... I was so disappointed both for the sad life event and also how RDR2 surely seemed to be the reveal... The days gone ending still seemed a little awkward like something was off. When he kept saying surprise at the end and all the IGN coverage leading up to it I thought for sure OMG RDR2!!! But hey then it happened a few months later and was perfect

I wonder if you can mix buttons for context. You could go for your weapon and they might automatically shoot. Or perhaps you could aim your weapon and defuse the situation (basically point a gun at them and tell them to f*ck off and leave me alone). Or you could antagonize them with a pointed gun to escalate the situation. If they're unarmed they'll most likely take the threat as serious compared to just being verbal.

...we won't get the 2nd Gameplay Video this Thursday (Sep 6), but next Wednesday (Sep 12) - a day before the Edge preview?

 

Seems like a viable option to me.

 

Then early October the Red Dead Online Video and a couple of days before release the official trailer.

It's possible. This upcoming week is gonna see a lot of traffic from Spider-Man and while that type of stuff has never really stopped Rockstar before, next week is gonna be pretty free from what I know. I think the odds of the trailer dropping in the next two weeks are near certain though.

Exactly!

You lock on an NPC by holding L2. While you do that you can press R2 once to aim your gun. But you will continously aim it with L2, like you kept locking on, this time with a weapon though. Then you can shoot with R2.

 

You could explain it like in this instance R2 will draw his gun but you will aim it nonetheless, since you are locking/aiming on the NPC with L2.

This upcoming week could be rad if Rockstar decides to drop gameplay part deux on Thursday. That plus a short 3 day work week because of the holiday and then capped off with freaking Spider-Man?!  

 

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Then the kicker is the following week kicks off with Edge.

Oh I don't think nothing anymore, honestly, just theorizing^^

 

First I thought we'd get #2 Sep 6, then I thought Aug 30, then Sep 6 again and now Sep 12. And my first predictions for Trailer #3 and Gameplay were both a week off.

 

So it's proven to be pointless for me, I'm just exploring general ideas (like the Sep 12 Idea), but I wouldn't bet on it

I have a feeling that they will drop the merch this week, then the week after will possibly be the gameplay video...then again it would be a smart move to drop both at the same time!

I'll say Thursday. It'll mark 4 weeks since the last one and just feels right.

 

I don't think Spider-Man is a consideration since that brand is bigger than RDR and most others worldwide and with the amount of hype surrounding it, a RDR2 trailer won't dampen it much and the trailer will still be big news on its own. I'd wondered about the 13th for the drop and while it's possible it does strike me a bit odd that you would potentially have a large page feature or hands on available to everyone and then at the same release a video saying the same thing? I dunno they could complement each other too or the Edge article might be a cool making of feature...we'll have to see!

I was just rewatching the gameplay trailer and noticed a couple things-

 

When Arthur gets punched twice by the big guy after getting thrown out of the window, he doesn't take any damage.  Do you think the damage system for melee will be different than shootouts?  Like instead of dying you just get knocked out or something, maybe wake up at the town doc or at your camp?  Also we don't know anything about how health works in general, do you guys think it will be regenerative again like in 1?

 

Second, the way the camera zooms out in the shot with the gang riding across the field reminds me of how you could lead the biker gang in The Lost and Damned.  I'm sure someone has already brought this up before but I didn't notice it until now

Yep! We will see alright also got mayans this week, really got an already good week coming with spider man and mayans, with potential red dead redemption 2 gameplay part II that would be absolutely perfect

arthur at the front he must be the true leader of the gang look where dutch is.

 

is arthur jacks father perhaps john ignores jack so arthur is more a dad to him until the end

Melee in the first Redemption didn't kill you, it just knocked you out. It was a really fun mechanic especially in online, you could have some massive bar brawls with it.

One of my absolute favorite memories with RDR online. The setup was so simple and perfect. Waiting for matches to start was fun cause we would just f*ck around. Push each other, start fights, jump in each other's faces, press B\o to talk sh*t, I'd even run around in circles sometimes in front of someone just for the hell of it such good times I will never forget. If there's anything red dead online NEEDS it is this. This, and Mexican standoffs returning. For red dead these are unique things. No boring lobby waiting, we get a live session of players waiting for the same match and we can roam freely and fight as we please. I pray it returns... OH AND A NARRATOR... has to return!!! "Fingers on triggers..... NOW DRAW!! Congratulations!! Your whole gang survived!!

The knockout feature is honestly one of the main features I'm really, really hoping is in RDR2. It was just so much fun, but I do hope they fix it so your knockout-o-meter resets after a while, trying to have fights with each other was always unfair cause the winner of the last fight got knocked out quicker.

They show the right amount of gameplay for them. They have the clout and rep to do it.

 

If some average or unknown developer showed as little gameplay as Rockstar do they'd be laughed out the park and rightly so.

Thanks dude @~INDIO~. For A Few Dollars More... I'd say we get the next gameplay this week ! Hope I'm right. I can admit my predictiona were WAAAYY off last year but since mid time this year has been pretty accurate. Hope to keep the streak going

I don’t think releasing a trailer a day before another major game release is relevant and R* is a very brave company, they can release the gameplay like they don’t care about the other games. I start immediately apologizing if my English will be incomprehensible or incorrect, I'm an Italian guy who is using google translator.

Rdr2 aspect since 2014, and I'm on this forum since the beginning of 2017 .. I read every night your comments that keep me company before bed and make me remember how beautiful the world is Red Dead.

I have a couple of questions and considerations for you today.

I have read that the return of the New Austin has been confirmed, is it true? are you sure? would be great!

Also think there are possibilities that
  the second trailer of gameplay is published after the next previews? I do not know

anyway I started online with this game and I can not wait to play again .. I followed closely for a long time before the first leaks came out .. (the map, the screenshots etc ..)

They've announced stuff on busy days before, so it's not out the question. Spidey's reviews drop on Tuesday (4th) and the game on Friday (7th) so they could easily squeeze it between that, but if Spidey reviews as well as many hope (85-90+) then it's gonna generate a lot of buzz and discussion and with next week being pretty dry they may just wait it out. Plus lets not forget that Sony has the RDR2 marketing deal and they may poke Rockstar to leave out dropping marketing material for RDR2 until after what could be their biggest game of the year is out.

 

It's gonna be a good week either way for PS4 owners.

Nice. I took this early this year up in the California hills.

 

Don't really like how it turned out (I was doing experimental shots with my camera and weird settings) but I found it the other day and it reminded me a bit of RDR for some reason.

 

Anyway, here is a historic picture that reminds me of RDR.

When is the RDR2 magazine info suppose to drop? Don't we get something on the 8th?
