lol tbh for me its amazing seeing ANYTHING of RDR2... We used to not even know who we are playing as!! now we see him everywhere in the world and get these pics and rumors of RDR2 being playable behind closed doors, we know john, bill, javier and dutch are back!! and abigail, jack.. and uncle!! i almost forgot him  we have already amazing new characters, we know the game is gonna be a mix of mostly MP3 and RDR, we know new austin is back... more than anything i wished for armadillo back.. and herbert MOOOOON!! Lol its just f*ckin beautiful man. seeing this game is everywhere. i have been dreaming it would ever be a thing ever since i was in middle school... now its real and we will be playing it next month... and my favorite multiplayer ever in red dead will finally return... i love this game with all my heart im sooooo excited

I'm curious how the "rob" button will work. Strange that you just press a button to rob him. If anything, I would think you'd have to be really close to him, and maybe weapon drawn before that was an option. He's just sitting on his horse, unarmed. This thread is over 2000 pages long so it's probably been discussed, but I've missed it if so.

Well the "Rob" button is assigned to Triangle/Y and likely drawing your gun will be assigned to Triangle/Y, so likely Arthur just draws his gun and aims it at him and says something baddass.

as of now, i'm extremely curious about the coffee that is served at camp. is it roasted and toasted, or is it light? is it grainy or is it smooth? is it more of a bitter roast, or a sugar focused light roast? all questions that need to be answered!

For me its weird to get excited for the new characters because most of them will probably die or run away,RDR 2 is the trickiest story Rockstar ever had to build because this is the first time they have to deal with narrative consistency in a franchise.Creating the ending for this game sounds like a mess.

Right. 'Cuz that dude already looks pretty aggressive. I can't imagine Arthur pulling his weapon out and saying "this is a robbery!" is going to have any effect on that guy, lol. He'd probably just shoot you immediately. He's already looking for a reason.

I guess in this particular situation, any of the three options (aim weapon, rob and antagonize) might result the same thing, the stranger shooting you lol, his gun is already drawn, so...

Aim Weapon will work as a intimidation tactic

Rob will probably make you aim your weapon automatically and Arthur tells the guy to give him the money

Antagonize is being a asshole or threatning the guy in a verbal manner

Defuse is what the player did in the gameplay

I agree, it would be a stupid move. The Y button is also the loot button for the first game isn't it? Likely the choice is there for most situations, whether stupid or not. What I wonder is if you press R2 after you have drawn your gun, or it you draw the weapon automatically upon pressing R2.

Maybe it’s used to let him know that he needs to turn over his sh*t unless he wants a bullet in his head. If he refuses you press “R2” to “convince” him that you’re serious. Dunno xD

Maybe you press r2 once to just draw it and then press again to shoot.

Being used to playing RDR on a PS3/PS4 and therefore using the 'O' button to greet NPCs, I wonder how many times I'm going to accidentally antagonize people by hitting 'O' instead of '' this time...

Idk how it works but I'm glad I don't.. I love how rockstar is so good at giving you an idea in Gameplay videos what to expect but they don't go so in depth and show you a literal demo..an example of this yes we have seen RDR2 gameplay, but not like the press have seen like a literal demo straight from the game you hear the music, the environment, the footsteps,nature etc I think you know what I mean. And I'm thankful for that cause I'll experience the real gameplay for myself and be blown away by that thing that magic!! All this being said, I am SO excited for this game!!!!

He's also a Blackrose Bounty Hunter.  That "oxblood waistcoat" is standard issue. So yeah, Arthur is wise to stand down here.

I'll rage-quit the game if it isn't grounds-in-the-bottom-of-your-tin-cup black paint coffee that dissolves your metal spoon when you stir it.

I wonder how the dirty clothes thing will work. Will clothes be cleaned when we switch outfits? Do we have to clean them in camp? Does rain clean them? 

 

I wish they would show some customization for Arthur in the next trailer.

If they want to be historically accurate maybe in town there will be a Chinese guy who does laundry.

R* said in some interviews that the camp has a regular schedule with each character dealing with one task and one of them being responsible for the laundry. I guess it will be kinda automatically, you change clothes and them when u return to the former it's cleaned up. Maybe when u don't provide to the camp the person tasked with the laundry won't clean ours lol. Who knows.

I think we’re holding the left trigger to lock on to NPCs while unarmed now so it would make sense if you pull the right trigger once, it will draw your gun. Since you were already holding the left trigger, now you’re holding them at gun point. I think it’s going to work great.

I'm definitely going to spend days with Arthur in the wilderness, hunting and exploring, getting dirty af, beard and hair growing out and all. Then go into town and see how people react.
