I think it's a marketing ploy to hype people up. This is Rockstar, this is the prequel to a massively loved game. If they can chuck in some buzz-words, you best believe they're gonna do it.

 

I'm as excited as the next fan. The original is my second-favourite game behind The Last of Us, but hearing "greatest game ever made" leaves me massively sceptical.

It's not what R* said though, the tweet was from a Gamestop employee, and some others that've seen the previews said the same. Of course it's anyone's taste and we gotta see

Now that i think about it, this may have some big implications. We know that railroads and building will be built through time/ story progression. Does this mean we will see a populated tumbleweed and a deserting/deserted tumbleweed? Will we see bonnie's ranch get built?

maybe even serendipity?

In RDR you can see old newspapers in the world (pretty low res) talking about the completion of the Southwestern Railroad, so we might witness some of the building process in RDR2.

Wouldn't be suprised if we and our gang are somehow involved in the downfall of tumbleweed.

well, the gang doesn't move west until it's fall as we know that john was never in new austin until 1911, thus i assume we go to new austin alone as arthur.

I doubt it will be the building process of the ranch because the MacFarlanes were there for 30 years prior as of 1911. I'd love to see some missions where we come across Drew or the MacFarlane sons.

they should have mentioned it in the gameplay video right?

But there would be no purpose for rockstar to market that fact though. When you mention a place in marketing, you expect* to go there. Simply stating that is like me saying those tracks in mexico go to mexico city, but if we* don't go there, what;s the purpose of mentioning it?

That’s definitely gonna be “Lemoyne”....and also someone in the mapping thread pointed out a possible Sasquatch in the far distance at the 1:30-1:32 mark in the gameplay trailer.....
