maybe they saw gameplay trailer #2 which could be released this weekend with a glimpse of RDR2 Online at the end. 

 

Otherwise I wouldnt understand Rockstar strategy behind showcasing part of the game which nobody else is going to see  to such a huge crowd at this point of time

 

Chances for leaks are extremly high and telling them to shut up for trailer #2 details  for a couple of days seems more likely than a full game presentation

Not really bothered about the information, just hate the way they operate - suspense - drip of info - suspense - dribble of info - release hype - post launch - back to being the most famous mutes in the world.

Rockstar is our favorite mute.  The creepy friend who doesn't speak. 

 

The Rockstar NDA is simply, "Now keep yer mouth shut about me, y'hear?"

They have not seen the 2nd gameplay video ... they have been given an exclusive showing of the game played by a R* employee. That's how this works!

Does anyone really believe it when gaming companies claim games to be the "greatest ever made"? Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt it'll be anything short of phenomenal, but literally the best game ever? I'd be a rich, rich man if I had a dollar for every time someone said that.

 

I think it's a marketing ploy to hype people up. This is Rockstar, this is the prequel to a massively loved game. If they can chuck in some buzz-words, you best believe they're gonna do it.

 

I'm as excited as the next fan. The original is my second-favourite game behind The Last of Us, but hearing "greatest game ever made" leaves me massively sceptical.

It's not like Rockstar said it. The GS employee who saw it felt that way. I can understand why though. We've already seen the game (a GLIMPSE of it)

So with lots of people getting a 4k TV I decided to order my own. Panasonic 55" 4k hdr. 

 

I sold my last TV as I was moving away but came back so it was very much needed.

All day I've been feeling anxious, just having this feeling that something big is happening soon. I don't know if it relates to RDR2 or something else but I'm gonna take this Gamestop situation as a sign! We're so close to release, I can almost taste it...

But the issue there is that this is subjective. They really need to capitalize on the features and storytelling that the first one had here's hoping they can.

Saying that it's "the "best game ever made" is a bold, bold statement.

 

Being the best game this year would already be a fantastic achievement, given the game that was released in April

Given Rockstar's exemplary track record I don't see why RDR2 couldn't be considered one of the greatest games of all time, let alone the game of the year. RDR is already considered by many to be one of the best games ever, and the prequel is shaping up to be an incredible leap from that.

 

In my personal opinion RDR is tied with A Link to the Past as my favorite game of all time, and RDR2 will likely surpass both in my eyes.

I really don’t understand the love for God of War; like, not even objectively, I don’t see what’s good about it beyond its graphics and presentation. I’m half way through and keep waiting for it to get good. (Disclaimer: I know I’m in the minority and I’m not trying to take away from anyone’s love for the game. It’s actually annoying me that I don’t get what’s good about it )

Just one of the best games ever made. That 95 on OpenCritic and 94 on Metacritic, with more than 100 reviews, speak for themselves. In 2018, where critics are way more demanding than they were 5-8 years ago.

All of this without dlc's or missions hidden behind a paywall

 

RDR 2 will be one of my two favorite games this year, but it'll have tough competition at the end of the year

Even tough God of war has cut scene and RDR seems to be much more seamless  

In any ways it's hard to compear in a lot of aspect.

I disagree with this part. Critics are harsher towards sh*t games these days but they get impressed pretty quickly with "good games". Lack of good games in the past couple of years made them soft once they see something "good" let alone a masterpiece.

You'd be surprised. Gamestop employees saw GTA V and it wasn't near any kind of public trailer release AFAIK.

I have to disagree with you out of all those games the only one i think that ranks is the witcher 3, the rest are pretty eh. dont get me wrong some are fun games but they arnt anything to write home about. they are the type of game one could put down after a week. I definitely think the gaming market has been stagnate for the last couple of years

Don't know about you but last gen had far better games IMO. at least everyone was original and had sth unique in their game. This gen everyone is copying each other.
