Just some interesting tidbits from the sceenshots and gameplay trailer:

 

1. Buck Firearms(Red-Dead Universe equivalent of Colt Firearms)

 

John's Buck S-A Revolver

 

Arthur's Buck S-A Revolver

 

What looks like a customized version of Art's Buck S-A(Dutch has similar engravings on his schofield revolver)

 

Colt Single Action Army for refrence

 

We also have the gun brands J&P(Peters & Jackson?) and B&P, one of which is likely based on Smith & Wesson(also D.D. Pakenbush Arms CO, makers of the double-action revolver in GTA Online)

 

One last note regarding weapons, the dude that gets flung off his horse actually fires his rifle right after he's shot, which may actually be what makes his horse buck(you can see the smoke right next to the aim reticle)

 

I really like that they seem to be focusing on having actual gun brands this time around. There's more stuff to come, I just don't want to try to cram it all into one huge post lol. Expect 1 or 2 more...

It seems we may have gotten our first glance at the set-up/tear-down shop system

 

 

Did you spot anything in the first image?

 

Well for one, we have the return of White's hunting supplies, and English Imperial Tea(maybe we can have some this time) from Red Dead Redemption.

 

 

More importantly, there's a tiny detail on those oddly-colored blue wooden barrels, which has a connection to one of the first pieces of evidence that helped validate the leaked map, from all the way back in September 2017...

And there we have it, the final nail in the "map is fake" aka not from R* coffin(not that anyone here still doubts it's validity). Now it's just a matter of how much it's been altered since 2016. There's also another word underneath it, but I can't figure out what it is...

News got unlikely due to NBA 2k19 Park Trailer is not yet released and on Friday they launch the prelude.

I could imagine that gameplay trailer 2 will release this Sunday or next week Tuesday otherwise there will be silence till after NBA 2k19 release 11th of September

 

then  release trailer 2, lift nda for news magazines and end of September Online Trailer

Unfortunately I don't have pictures and I don't know if this has been discussed already, but...

 

In the Blackwater shot from the Gameplay Video you can see a sign stating "S.D. Howell Detective Agency". Do with that what you want. But that's definitely one of the agencies after us, given the failed robbery happens in Blackwater.

 

In another shot of the gangs camp we can see a wagon with the writing "Jameson Mining & Coal Company" ... So they've probably stolen that from Annesburg.

It's gonna be hard for me to resist once leaked screenshots and gameplay start popping up but I've waited way too long for this game and I'd hate for someone to spoil it. Even if it's a simple screenshot of a random place in the game, I'd like to experience everything first hand. I hope the leaks don't start too soon after the game goes gold. Lords knows how pissed I'll be if somebody spoils the ending.

How long do y’all reckon it takes to create on of these gameplay videos. Like will gameplay trailer 2 be a more recent and polished build from the last gameplay trailer , or do you think they have these things made months ahead of time ? Always wondered that.

Hell, she can kick my butt anytime she wants. I'll spend a lot of time with her in the game as it looks like she can handle herself pretty well.

Dunno, it's a good question. I'd guess they'd start getting put together a few weeks before they release, for Rockstar that might be more like 4-6 weeks than 2-3. I doubt the second gameplay trailer will be from a more recent build though, I'd bet they were made at the same time.

New Hanover...?   Would make sense. 

I'm curious how much functionality tools will have.  e.g., there's a coupla brooms, a rake, a shovel, and something else in the barrel.  Wonder if they can actually be used, along with axes, saws, pickaxes, scythes, etc.

From the GTA V build log (but for a magazine preview event):

 

Basically they make up a way of playing the game and expect the people who show the game to train it properly. Probably not too different for gameplay trailers, all carefully planned. This was the V build shown to GI btw, looking at the date.

Part 3(last one):

This is not so much about RDR2, but rather RDR1, and possible cut content.

 

You remember that Southwestern R.R. robbery article I brought up recently that mentions a "Canyon City"?

 

I originally thought nothing of it, as the event and location are only mentioned in that one blurry notice board in-game. However, when I saw the other mention of it in an ad that I believe was cut from the final game(as well as a possible connection to Tumbleweed), I started to question it. @BretMaverick777 has actually created an interesting thread regarding this.

 

Well earlier today, while searching for screenshots on the official site for RDR(I was looking for gunsmith shop pictures, too lazy to boot up the game lol), I stumbled across this image.

 

Now at first, this appears to be nothing out of the ordinary. But what's with that poster to the right?

Again, this still may seem unimportant, but as someone who's meticulously studied almost every piece of paper with words on it in the world of RDR, I immediately noticed something odd. So I went and took a screenshot from the same location in-game.

 

Rockstar changed it from Armadillo & Canyon City, to Armadillo & Blackwater. This leads me to believe that either a) Blackwater may have been originally called Canyon City, along with The Hotel Madison instead of The Blackwater Hotel, or b) They may have wanted to extend the map further west, and have another major town on the other side of the map(this is along the lines of Bret's theory), which in a way makes sense, because the Southwestern Railroad shouldn't go past Mcfarlane's Ranch(and should go further West), because from there to Blackwater is Pacific Union trackage(although the train in the intro did just this, so they kinda fudged things up a bit with that). Anyways, I just thought this was fascinating, and may be of interest to you guys, or anyone that enjoy's researching bits and pieces of beta/cut content

"Impact Areas...?"

The purple text, in the legend in the leaked map.   Purple just doesn't show up well in that map at all, so it's been 2 years and still nobody seems to be able to ID what the purple text there says. 

 

What if it's "Impact Areas?" 

Maybe each of the landmarks marked in purple is one of the areas that actively changes over the course of the game.  These could be areas that build up and actively change the map, to add railroads and maybe more...settlements, changes to the roads, an increase in population, whatever.  Our actions could be the factors in building these areas up, if the theory is true. 

 

In Big Valley, there's two purple markers:   Applewood Timber Co., and another site, as yet unidentified

In Cumberland Forest, there's an "impact area" on the Dakota River that seems to read "Roanoke ____".   Possibly "Roanoke Peaks?"

In the Heartlands, an impact area that's still hard to ID.   It looks like the second word is "Pond," but idk

In Roanoke Ridge, there's an impact area that's a lot easier to read...says "Central Union Railroad Camp."  

Which sounds an awful lot like the Pacific Union Railroad Camp from RDR1; but "Central Union" sounds like the railroad for the middle of the country, as opposed to the Far(ther) West of RDR1.  

Plus, you've probably noticed that the Pacific Union Railroad Camp is strangely absent from the West Elizabeth map.  Along with the railroads.  So maybe Pacific Union is likely to be another "Impact Area" that wasn't shown on the leaked map originally? 

 

 

By the way, Western history buffs might have already picked up on this, but what do you think would happen if the Pacific Union RR met the Central Union RR somewhere in RDR2....?

A part of me is a little miffed that Rockstar released the gameplay trailer before going radio silent for three weeks, but the other part just doesn’t care at this point. There’s only eight weeks to go and we know we’ll be getting three more trailers, at least two magazine previews and a hell of a lot more coverage. Then when all the upcoming mayhem comes to an end we will be able to actually play the game. It’s surreal.

Gamestop: "Red Dead Redemption II is going to be a monster this fall and our company is depending on it to sell like hotcakes this fall. If we don't we will lose everything and declare bankruptcy. So from today and going forward until launch I want everyone from the cashiers to the janitors to force pre orders down every customer that enters through our doors. Doesn't matter if they preordered already or have no plans to buy the game. Give them a receipt with the preorder already confirmed make them eat it if you have to. Open their mouth and shove that receipt down their throats."
