Right, I get you 100% that part probably is right I mean the game is about wanted men\women being on the run so putting two and two together would kind of expect that part. Other than that though nothing to worry about :), there will be plenty of surprises. From what I remember no one knew the protagonists name and they all said a lot of times it's be multiple characters which again... Wrong. Some people say sh*t too just to build a reputation within the community. They can say something believable enough and then it's taken as fact if it makes sense. Even if they are right things change in development as well. So unless it's from R* I just don't believe it

I hope the leak is wrong, spoilers are bad, but i understand your point and agree with you, Rockstar can change everything.

Red Dead just got an update on Xbox one x anyone know what it's for. My friend just told me and he saw it on his xbox? Any ideas possibly related to rdr2?

It’s absolutely nothing related to RDR2. It’s just an emulator update. There were updates on the regular Xbox One for that game, GTA IV, GTA: San Andreas, Rockstar Table Tennis and Bully. Sometimes each and every game that is currently backwards compatible gets an update every now and then.

 I was watching Rockstar's GTA Online stream earlier today and Lazlow (Rockstar writer) said his head has been stuck in 1899 for years. He was referencing working on RDR 2 and it seemed like nobody on the stream knew what he was talking about.

I dunno, I think reading the leaked ending of a story and actually experiencing it are two very different things. Imagine if before the release of Red Dead Redemption you had read that at the end of the game, the badass outlaw you play gets gunned down and then you have to play as his teenage son. Sounds kinda lame written like that, but actually playing the game and experiencing it, I find the ending of RDR to be brilliant. 

 

Personally, I think playing as John after the end of the story, with post game missions to build his ranch could be a nice way to wrap it up. That's just me though. Besides, the leak may be totally wrong about the ending, or in the last 4 years the ending could've changed multiple times. Best to reserve judgement until we've actually played the game and experienced the ending anyway.

Got a rough estimate of when he talked about that? I've got the stream pulled up...

Don't get me wrong, I don't want time jumps either. But I think we have evidence that it's in the game. We know you can see houses being built as the game goes by, and we also know that the railroad will expand. It seems like John from some of the screens she's a little bit. If the game is about the fall of Dutches gang then we will probably see 1906. Doubt we will see 1911 though.

Lazlow has never worked on Red Dead I think or been credited. I wonder what he did for RDR2. Will Lazlow's great great grandpa show up even though RDR and GTA aren't connected?

I thought I heard somewhere that he wrote the newspaper articles for RDR.

Yes, (time) will past like they would tell you in Rdr come back at a certain time to do a mission or something, but to think of weeks or days being monitored even just sounds ridiculous to me at least. Time will past as you do things in the world, as NPCS have scheduled activities and things, you would expect some kind of progress right? Doesn't necessarily mean it will say come "completed in 23 days" or it will take the game will need a time jump to see it completed.

I can’t wait to get that first taste of the open-world. Walking around MacFarlene’s Ranch for the first time in Red Dead Redemption was awesome. A few NPCs picking up hay and taking it elsewhere, a lady cutting up chickens, a nearby train’s distinct whistle roaring and more... the calmness.

 

 

I can’t wait to see the ranches in Red Dead Redemption II with the NPCs in this one. It’s gonna be something special indeed...

So there was no patch for RDR. But I just played it again anyways and can tell you the damn game is magical. Seriously it NEVER gets old. And now I'm watching the hateful eight for the first time

Enjoy it! It’s a really good movie. This scene from Trailer #3 reminded me of The Hateful Eight.

Nearly all Rockstar games have some themes of gangs losing control and they also happen during one year.

 

The best example being gta San Andreas. There your gang dies out and you even revive it. All within one year. 

 

That's just Rockstar's style.

 

Besides you have to remember, it's confirmed the game starts with a f*ck up during a heist. Tension will be big in the gang from the start.

 

The eventual fracturing of the Van Der Linde gang will already be in effect during the beginning of the game.

 

I just re-watched the opening of RDR1.  Really, RDR1 began the same way as GTA San Andreas...

After five years in Blackwater, it was time to go home.

You must. Django is a badass movie. Both Jamie and Samuel do a really hands down grate performances in both movies. Not to mention the full cast in both films that tops it off
