Wow, good point that makes sense. It would definitively incentivize the player to try to keep the hat and not loose it, as loosing it means 'no more whip'. (until they recover the hat of course.)

I don’t know if this has been said yet due to the overload of hype madness on this forum right now lol, but I like how they called it a gameplay “video” instead of “trailer” so that almost guarantees around 4-5 minutes of gameplay!!!

Listening to the RDR soundtrack while waiting for my likes to come back lol speaking of the hat mechanic I really hope that Npc's can pick up our hat!!! It would be hilarious both in SP and online I could see it now, your hat gets knocked off and you run for it then like something straight outta for a few dollars more they shoot your hat while you try picking it up. Then they put it on and run away with it while insulting you

At the end of the GTA5 game play video they had a snippet of GTAO saying "coming soon" so maybe they'll do the same with RDR2
