San Andreas has a new problem besides Los Santos' gangs, San Fierro's triads and Las Venturas' mafia: a chainsaw-wielding serial killer (nicknamed "Leatherface") is killing everyone he finds near his hut, located in the Back O' Beyond. After the events of the #MOTW 121 entry (The Back O' Beyond Massacre), the Paranormal Threats Response Unit, a special police unit is dispatched to bring down the killer, who is believed to have inhuman strength and resistance. Another group, however, has set its sights on the killer for entirely different motives and soon enters in conflict with the authorities. As the small towns and factories of the countryside become a battleground between the PTRU and the unknown sect, the killer hunts them both..

 

 

You play as Parker, the captain of PTRU's Sierra squad. You will face not only the killer, as he lurks in the shadows while you and your squad try to find you, but also a secret cult interested in him as much as you, only for different reasons. You will also play some missions as the killer, in which you hunt down both the police and the cult to ensure your survival.

What mod you used for HD Text ?

 

The mission pack is great though, I only like something and its that we change the player sides, missions that we play as the killer. missions that we play as Parker.

 

I will give full review when the MP is finished.

Thanks mate, i'll release two more demo missions (one is a shootout and the other one is a mission where you play as the killer, so people can see also how the most gameplay-focused missions are going to be)

I really like horror. And I especially like the slasher subgenre. So, based on these two statements, you can deduce that so far I like this project, and since there hasn't really been a competent slasher mission pack made in DYOM, I guess I can consider this not only a breath of fresh air, but also an original and inspired work.

 

I like the way the plot is set up, in that it's somewhat grounded in reality, but on the other hand we have an (assumingly) invincible serial killer on the loose. I like the atmosphere, enhanced by different weather effects, object placement etc. I like the script, it does a good job developing the characters, and the characters themselves aren't just cannon fodder, you actually care about them and their future in this whole situation.

 

I like the way you design missions - seemingly simple, yet quite effective. This project shows the potential of creating some kind of universe, and that we'll see more of PTRU in the future, fighting other malevolent beings. But even if that's not what you're planning, I say it still is a good standalone project. Hopefully we won't have to wait long until the full thing is released. Good luck with this.

UPDATE: 

Hello there,

i was thinking about this recently, now that i have some more free time and i might be able to spend it on DYOM.

Lately i've been working on a project, which should be a lot better than Bring Down Leatherface and my previous missions in terms of both gameplay and story. It is set in an alternate universe, after a Second American Civil War caused the collapse of the San Andreas government, in which the country is divided between factions, each with its organization, strong points and weak points. The universe will be introduced in a storyline i'm still writing, called "Vagrants".

Regarding Bring Down Leatherface, i think i will halt the development, since the missions i've made so far (half of the mission pack) suffer from the same design flaws of missions like "Operation: DICE" and to correct them now would take too much time, time i could spend developing this other project, which i think will be a lot better than BDL.

I will release the missions i've already created in the upcoming days, stay tuned 👀
