[PC] GTA V Crash / Code 107

Currently playing single player, the game randomly freezes, sometimes after 20 minutes.

 

In the launcher.log, i found following lines (this session took 1,5 hours):

Bitte klicke unten auf "Erneut versuchen" um das Spiel wieder zu betreten, oder klicke auf "Abgesicherter Modus" um das Spiel mit reduzierten Grafikeinstellungen zu starten.

Windows 10, nVidia GPU and RSC-Version of GTA (no Steam involved). Driver and OS are up to date and the AV-Software has exceptions for all GTA-related executables. GTA V is installed on another drive.

 

I didn't find any similar (resolved) problem on the internet so far, sometimes steam is involved, sometimes the error message is different, sometimes the error code. And i guess R* Support wouldn't be too helpful either, although i would give them a shot eventually and will move me through the standard "check your drivers, AV and update, reinstall the game/windows, buy another PC, travel to an alternate universe and see if the error is reproducible"-dance.

Just a small update, it seems to be related to my nvidia driver as i always find "display driver [insert cryptic nvidia-dll i can't remember] stopped responding and was resettet" messages in the event log.

 

Does happen in single player and online. I feel it's more often in SP. I did not make any measurement regarding temperatures yet, but i doubt there's a relation. I'd assume the error would occur more often in a row after a first crash. But this is totally random. I was idling online almost 1 day and only had one crash in the middle of it. On other days, it crashes within the 1st hour.
