Unified Lore - EFLC (Retail) Radiostations

 

 

Description
After a few hours of thinking, I managed to add the three exclusive radio stations found in the standalone EFLC release, without replacing any other one: Self-Actualization FM, RamJam FM and Vice City FM. This might be a base for adding other radio stations in the game.

Known issues and bugs

-patch version does not work on 1.0.8.0

-Independence FM crashes

 

!!! NOTE !!!: You're going to need the retail EFLC release for this. No exceptions. For the Audio Patch version, you're going to need the EFLC Audio Patch by Jason Statham to load a few files. Also, you need xliveless. However, if you have my other mod, the EFLC Vehicles one, or you already have installed and edited the Audio Patch to your needings, you won't need to download the Audio Patch. Read the ReadMe for more details.

Nice job man. This looks neat. Regarding the name in the audio, I believe you need the gxt entries.

Hopefully the configuration for both the IV and V audio can be fully researched. I'd love to add all the IV and EFLC radios in V without replacing.

After a few days of trying to figure out how to add the new radios without replacing anything, I finally got them working. Turns out the EFLC game.dat16 and sounds.dat15 were messing up the radio order, thus getting a few radios disabled. After placing every necessary data from EFLC to IV and doing some hex edits, they finally showed up.

Without getting into details, I am going to release two versions of the mod: the Audio Patch version (similar to the first release) and the No Patch version (it will replace original files). The Audio Patch version will be first, since I need to test out the other version a little more. Also, I still gotta find a way to add the GXT entries. Other than that, here you have it! The first mod which actually ADDS radio stations into the list!

Huge, and I mean HUGE props to AndrewMulti for his fantastic tool. Without it, this couldn't be realized at all. Thank you so much, man!

As always, if any of you spot any bug, please write it here and I'll try to fix it!

Love it. Between this, and your vehicle sounds mod, I’m excited that people are still working on combining the assets of IV and EFLC.

 

It’s a pipe dream, but here’s hoping that one day someone can look at “The Possible Trinity,” and get IV+EFLC to work like GTA V.

I also got the peds working, with voice lines too, but I still need to iron them out. Anyway, an update is coming to the vehicles mod. Then I'll probably do the weapons :)

None. This mod only adds the 3 radios that were in the non-DLC version of EFLC. If you want the extended radio, I recommend checking this thread:

 

 

The mods are compatible with each other by the way.

Glad this is finally a reality. Now the trick is, adding the songs Rockstar added in the recent patch, without replacing the original songs.

I was thinking about this a while ago. I gotta figure out how Rockstar managed to extend the radios with the DLCs first.

Nice mod, here's a GXT I made for radio names in the menu and added about a quarter of the songs into ZiT

EDIT: Works fine in MP, syncs properly, only one problem: it offsets the radios in the lobby, The Journey is Vice City FM and then it just gets more and more offset with each new station

Thanks for the gxt! I'm not too sure how to fix the lobby issue at all. I couldn't find anything else related to the radios in game.dat16. Probably a limit somewhere else.

 

Anyway, this weekend I'll probably try to get the new Vladivostok songs merged with the old ones, ala EFLC DLC style. I already got the weapons added (minus the parachute, that one needs more work). There are some issues here and there but they will be fixed in due time. The peds are also done. Only thing left to do is the main storyline changes, but that will come later. I'm not sure if I can get the map working for now. I'd love to make the changes load in separate files, much like I did with the weapons right now.

 

Just a bonus screenshot, for now. The Buzzard's rockets work after adding some lines. This is epic.

1 - It's part of the sco, if anyone's skilled enough with SCO Toolbox it should be fixable

2 - Will all of that be compatible with patch 8 & without FLA? (so it works in MP with the GFWL protection bypass)

This is amazing. The dream is getting closer and closer every day.

 

Question: You’ve added the weapons. Are you going to add the NOOSE snipers that appear on rooftops, like in TBOGT? And IIRC at a certain wanted level, the help passengers use the LMG too I think. I could be misremembering though.

I like how all of you think about adding dlc stuff to iv when I already had the idea and did it and waited for the tools so I can do the rest so far I am sort of succeeding on adding gta eflc map updates to iv with zero work just tell the game to read this and boom (I know I am dramatic) it loads up and btw I am almost done with my project that's called Grand Theft Auto IV: The Actual Complete Edition that's all I have in mind CYA.

Since you have mentioned it I will try to do it keep in mind in tbogt the swat use p90 as well

Like I told you earlier, stop being an egomaniac. Just because you did it, that doesn't mean others can't. And yes, you sound rude and not helpful at all. All I see you do is talk about how others "steal my idea reeeeeeeeeee" yet there are people who wanted to do this since the DLCs released, which was years ago. If you are here just to boast your ego, then you can leave and do your own thread.

 

I am aware the police weapons can be done by SCO. I just don't know what file controls all of this.

I swear I remember there being a mod that replaced the cutscene characters with their updated versions from the DLC. I don’t remember what site it came from, somebody just posted the download link from when Mediafire was still a thing. I never installed it, it just sat in my Downloads folder until getting deleted. Never been able to find it, but at least you’re doing that too it seems!

I remember in the eflc map updates mod nkjellman mentioned in the to do list that that he is going to do that but I don't think that's where you got it from

Sadly I can't get Tony to work properly. I also can't get the dude with the pistol from the Three Leaf Clover heist cutscene to work either. Finally, I have no idea how to get TBoGT Luis to be a cutscene model. Other than that, everything is fine. So yeah, these dudes will stick with their IV looks until I find a way to get them to work.

I'd get a pic of Jason but I'm too lazy to do that. But yeah, don't worry about him.
