Can’t say I’ve seen that many, but I’ll go with Deadwood.

I liked Gunsmoke. Over the years, hey had a huge amount of prominent guest stars. In this episode alone, you have Bette Davies, Bruce Dern and Tom Skerritt:

Bonanza was allegedly Osama Bin Laden'S favorite show btw.

Still gutted, after all those years, that this series never got a proper ending..... they still owe the public a proper ending, even after 12 years.

Little House on the Prairie and Bonanza.
It's only good if it has a thing to teach, if you can feel the smell of the 70s together with the trashyness of the age of paranoia and if its just as boring as a the fourth day stuck in the same place in a camping trip when you're underage with your family.

Longmire! ( Not an exact western but still a modern one) I absolutely love that show . Fun fact  R* like usual gets inspiration from sources of entertainment they like and they definitely got some  inspiration off Longmire!! Arthur looks very similar to Walt  they even dress the same. Hope there will be an Easter egg in RDR2 or something!more Otherwe can count series, out of TV westerns I've seen so far I gotta say godless, and the actual western scenes of Westworld are really good. I need to watch deadwood and more hell on wheels. So far I've watched more western movies I could name than TV shows\series. Also watched a few amount of documentaries. "Wild west tech" by Ken burns, Jesse James, outlaws in the west, doc holliday, the gunfight at the O.K Corral (tombstone, arizona) Wyatt Earp etc. I've watched lots of history stuff on the west :) my favorite genre

According to IMDB, they may start shooting the film next month.

It says it will start filming in October. That's positive indeed. If it said "may start filming" I'd be far less positive. 12 years waiting, finally rewarded?

Filming starts October 5th.

On topic, well Deadwood is tops. My other personal favorites over the years..

Longmire

Justified

Hell on Wheels

Godless

Maverick

Lonesome Dove

Dr Quinn Medicine Woman

I've honestly never checked out some of the oldest shows like Bonanza or Rawhide. Might have to change that.

That's what I thought this thread was about, guess I had tunnel vision. So it just went right by me when I made my list but my first answer would have been Lonesome Dove times 10.

For somewhat obvious reasons, Maverick tops my list.

But I also love Gunsmoke, Deadwood, Lonesome Dove, The Rifleman, Big Valley, Hell On Wheels, Dr Quinn Medicine Woman, Brisco County Jr, Kung Fu, Grizzly Adams, The Lone Ranger, Cisco Kid, Bonanza, Zorro, Daniel Boone, F Troop, The Virginian, The Rifleman....there's not many I haven't seen, or didn't like.

Maverick would be one . Hatfields and McCoys would be another one, although it was a mini series.

As for modern western, if they even should be considered a westerns, Longmire was decent and Justified was my second favorite TV show ever, although as I said, I don't think it is a real western since it is set in a modern day Kentucky.
