GTAGuy
Thank god..the blocky headlights problem that plagued GTA3 is gone!
sensory
just a shame all those screens are probably of the in-game engine. we'll see what the actual game looks like.
Rhinopotomas
Lol hey I never noticed that all the cars in GTA3 had boxy lights. Those look great, except for the magazine grainage.
GTAGuy
Yeh...I hated the "White Block" headlights of GTA3 and im glad that they won't find their way to VC: PC.
DexX
just a shame all those screens are probably of the in-game engine. we'll see what the actual game looks like. What do you mean? that IS ingame gameplay. I even have shots of the hud on too if you need proof... btw, just because the headlights work in their early versions, doenst mean it will make it to the final. this early PC gta3 shot is proof of that... http://www.rockstargames.com/grandtheftauto3/pc/ss7.jpg same thing for the player. he's NEVER this smooth in my game, cause he isnt AA http://www.rockstargames.com/grandtheftauto3/pc/ss1.jpg
GTAGuy
Well the headlights should stay..I think they made a mistake in GTA3 and left it out accidentally. Also, have you tried using Anisotropic Filtering? I use it and it smooths out his texture like it is in that screenie.
itsjake88
How do i use that? I have an ATI radeon 9000 pro 128mb.
sensory
What do you mean? that IS ingame gameplay. I even have shots of the hud on too if you need proof... remember the first ps2 screenshots? those weren't in-game. do the math.
GTAGuy
@ Itsjake88 Right click the desktop and go to properties and then go to the settings tab and the click Advanced and then go to the Direct3d tab and uncheck "Application Preference" for Anisotropic Filtering and then move the slider for Anisotropic Filtering up as much as you want, the more the Anisotropic Filtering, the smoother the texture is, but the grainy, blocky textures on the main character are already fixed at 2x Aniso, at least on my 9700 Pro they are. @sensory actually those ARE actual ingame shots from the Pc version. And on the Pre Release screenies of GTA3 for Ps2, those were ingame shots too. Think about it..theres no way to test a game without actually going into it and testing it and playing it and looking for bugs and glitches as you make it, and that makes the perfect opportunity to make some screenies of the progress to release to the public... makes since doesn't it? And about the hud, R* is naturally going to leave out the hud and have custom camera angles in most of their shots so they can show off the game... GTAGuy
Yw..Oh and, Anisotropic Filteric should help anyways, i should make the game look better without much fps loss.
itsjake88
It only lowers it like 3fps. And, if u are pissd off at the old player model, email me, PM me, MSN me , AIM me and ill send u my donald love mod. Whenever I post a link here. It links to porn!?!?!? This is a quick screen i whipped up.

itsjake88
They used the replay option. That is how I get good screenies.
