hi everyone. i have always loved clothes shopping in the gta series. today i was doing some clothes shopping in gta 5 and it made me wonder what the gta community thinks about it. there have been plenty of clothes shops in the series. and each one has its own unique type of clothing. so tell me what your favorite clothes store is for each gta that has had them. gta san andreas, gta 4 and gta 5. and also tell me your favorite interior for each game. mine are

favorite clothes stores

gta sa binco. i love the clothes. i know the slogan is more trash for less cash. but you know what they say one mans junk is another mans treasure. thats binco. it aint fancy but i like it.

gta 4 russian shop. i have always liked this shop. the clothes are pretty cool. i have never been to nyc. but i figure if i ever go there. i want to go in a little shop like that. get a shirt from russia.

gta 5 suburban. i like this store. the clothes are nice. plus i think the interior is great.

favorite clothes store interiors.

gta sa victim. i really like this interior. it looks awesome. plus its the only clothes store interior in the series that has an upstairs. its not that big upstairs but its still cool to have one.

gta 4 russian shop. like i said it is a neat little shop. i like the russian writing everywhere. i cant read any of it. but it looks authentic. almost like im in russia. and i like the cashier. she is nice and friendly.

gta 5 suburban. i love the interior and the decorations are cool.

so let me know your favorites. and tell me what you think of clothes shopping in gta. i know not everybody will like it but i do. and im sure some people do too. i dont know why but i just like walking around and choosing each article of clothing. except in gta san andreas. you have to go to the fitting room and do a bunch of waiting. it wasent as fun. at least they improved it in gta 4 and 5. its much easier. i hope in future grand theft auto they make more clothes shops. i mean its sad that gta 4 and 5 had only 3 stores. hopefully we get the same amount as gta san andreas or more. and i hope the interiors are bigger. they have always been small. i hope they make some with larger interiors. anyway thanks for reading and voting. have a good day.

I like shopping for clothes/changing them in every GTA that has the feature except San Andreas because of the mind f*ckingly slow wardrobe animation and most of the clothes look ugly anyway. GTA V can be annoying at times due to the character switching which can be a pain in the ass when you spend so much time picking them out, switch to another protagonist, switch back later on and realise they're wearing some sh*tty clothes you don't want them to be wearing.

Other than that little flaw GTA V has a great selection of clothing. My favourite store is Perseus. Niko looks boss in every suit that comes from there.

Yes.

GTA VC had a couple of badass outfits.

GTA SA had a huge set if clothes with a lot of variety and while it was annoying to wait for CJ to change his clothes, I think it was understandable considering it was Rockstar's first experience with this amount of customization and considering the PS2 era hardware.

With GTA IV, I expected the loading between changing clothes to be minimized considering the new hardware. But not only R* dumbed down the amount and variety of the clothes but they also kept the same annoying system that takes so long to switch clothes that you give up buying anything anyway.

GTA V finally did the right thing IMO. clothes could be changed in an instant in clothing stores and the system was very fluid and enjoyable. It was also nice to see the difference between the 3 protagonists regarding their style.

My favorite clothing stores are Zip and Binco from SA and Binco and suburban from V.

Yes, I do love shopping in GTA especially in the HD universe. My favourite shop is Persues in IV. I just love those suits and they fit Niko very well. V also did a great job in it.

Shopping in SA can be annoying sometimes, due to that slow movements and most of clothes just look awful, but the first time I played SA, I spent a lot of time doing that. It was pretty fun the first time.

Other than that, VCS, LCS and VC too had some great outfits.

I enjoy clothes shopping In GTA, mainly because I do not have the money to do so much clothes shopping IRL.

It's hard to decide what store had the best clothing because I have experimented with pretty much every style available in the games. I really enjoyed the vast variety of SA with all of its '90s American clothes and I really think the early skater/emo style looks great on Carl. Striped shirt, khaki shorts, and hi tops. But really I think GTA5/O has had the best clothing styles though. The dress shirts look great on Franklin and Trevor oddly pulls off a suit very well.

GTAIV had kind of meh clothes to me. While Niko has a body that looks good in most anything, that in turn makes it difficult to pick a style. Plus all of the clothes have that boring 2007 design to them and the suits are ruined with their tacky patterns and odd colours. Eventually I settled for the Claude Outfit from Playboy's loft.

But otherwise in the end the thing I enjoyed the most is seeing and experimenting with how various looks effect the character. Unfortunately the only game of the series that did this with depth was GTA SA. In SA the peds would comment on your clothes and your respect would change. In IV and V they removed this and no longer do the clothes shopping have any meaningful impact on game play. They have become the equivalent of the DLC for first person shooters that do nothing but change visuals.

Great minds think alike. What's your favourite suit from there buddy? I personally love the double breasted suits with the turtle necks (in any colour). When Niko starts working with Ray, Phill, Jimmy etc it's really all I wear as that's what I picture a mafia hitman to be wearing.

Actually there are two small gameplay effects in V for clothing.

-changing masks or glasses can help you lose one star during having a wanted level.

-the scuba mask helps you have unlimited breath underwater.

Picturing what a mafia hitman should wear ! That's what I think too, lol.

BTW I love the Persues Onyx suit. Black jacket, black tie and buttoned up, that looks dope. I also love that Slate suit.

(P.S. I'm talking about the PC version, 'cause there are lot of differences between the console and PC version of those suits).

I love clothes shopping in GTA! I think it would be more than awesome if they had a parody store to Hot Topic or Spencer's in the games, especially for Johnny Klebitz, Niko Bellic, or Luis Fernando Lopez. I think that all three of them would look pretty snazzy wearing a rock or metal shirt (e.g., AB/CD), sunglasses, jeans, and some form of tennis shoes to go with their leather jackets! 😎

Absolutely! There are a variety of clothes that you could wear and look fresh.

My most favorite clothing shops Persues from GTA IV, Russian Shop in GTA IV, all of the shops in GTA V, SA, and VC. Although in SA, I didn't like it how it had that slow asf wardrobe animation that could literally take you an hour to change into something not to mention that 70% of the clothes look crappy that could make CJ look extremely tacky.

I remember how the pendants, necklaces etc looked like they were painted on. I mostly just stuck with the green combat jacket and his default jeans as it was the only thing that looked somewhat decent. Strange because Vice City's clothing looked awesome. Even the more obscure outfits like the golf outfit, construction worker outfit etc.

That might be due to the '90s theme. The 1990s was not the best decade for fashion in my opinion. Lots of tacky patterns and you see this in the sitcoms from that era like Fresh Prince of Bel-air for example.

Yeah, I thought so too. But I always thought the 70's had tacky clothes.

GTA V was easily the best when it came to this. When compared to SA and IV, buying/changing clothes felt much more seamless and tedium-free. It's f*cking annoying however when they change outfits while you're playing as someone else.

Also mix and matching clothes is surprisingly limited. I don't know why Michael can't change shoes in his own wardrobe and you can't wear certain jackets with certain shirts, pants etc. I think GTA V improved on the organisation in regards to menus and the choices available, but it goes backwards in other ways or just makes things annoying (i.e the protagonists changing clothes when switching, holding some special outfits right until the end of the game instead of being unlocked sequentially as the story progresses).

Hopefully GTA VI finally perfects it. We're getting close, but not quite there yet.

Yes, just like real life. I just wish I was a modder so I could add products by Chanel.

The next game should allow you to buy clothes online and have them delivered to your wardrobe.
