What do you do when it's your birthday?

There are people who celebrate their birthdays in his house, or count as a normal day, what do you do when it's your birthday? If this thread already exists, the moderator can lock this thread.

I do:

-My cousins and a little bit of friends come

-Make a cake

-Service the friends and cousins with a juice

-Play football for likely 4 hours

-Eat the cake with them

-They leave

I count this as a normal day, but still they can eat or drink at my birthday. It's their choice, is it different than you? You celebrate your birthday in a different way? Let me and the people know in the replies/ comments section!

If I'm being honest? Nothing.

It's really just another day for me, as sad as that may sound. I just don't get all the hype around them. I'm a year older & nothing has changed. The older you get, the less interesting your Birthday gets. It kind of sucks.

Yeah, birthdays are nothing to me, I usually just go round my parents & get an Indian with the family, it's become sort of a tradition over the last few years.

The only adult birthday I enjoyed was my 21st due to me licking whipped cream off a strippers Ass named Gina. other than that, it's been a nothing day for me in adulthood.

Normal day as possible would be my option. Usually take the day off work and completely chill out or spend it with the wife if she's managed to get a day off.

30th next year, a big celebration would not be good.

Nothing. I remeber when I was a kiddo in my parties there were about 70 people counting children and their parents and they used to last all afternoon, about 6h and had a lot of presents. But now I prefer to stay alone thinking how the last year has been worse than the previous one lol. I give my birthday almost 0 importance, I still haven't told some of my friends so barely 3-5 people congrat me that day.

My birthday was actually almost a month ago and honestly, I didn't really do anything "fun". All I did was age. When it's my birthday, it's another typical day.

"Wake up early as hell and go to work, come back home, and do my normal activities/work." Whatever happened to birthday cakes and everyone singing Happy Birthday to you and going to Chuck E. Cheese? Man I miss those days.

Visit consecutive bars with my girl friends, and get sh*tfaced until I puke and pass out. Although that's a p regular occurrence, but I do it extra hard when it's my birthday.

Never was big into birthdays; living in a foster family, with nobody else "involved" in my birth present, and my people trying to make up for this with extra-cheerfulness to the brink of falling into hysterics, always made me feel awkward on this day, to be honest. But I actually appreciate the day more now that I'm "old" than when I was young.

Partner and me usually take another small city day trip somewhere, elegantly evading surprise visits from friends and neighbors who happen to remember my birthday (many Germans are obsessed with collecting and keeping such dates).

I do take select phone calls and enjoy them to a degree. I accept and appreciate that birthdays fulfill an important social function for the people around me. When people who, for whatever reason, don't feel like openly singing my praises the other 364 days of the year, choose to do so on this particular day, I can respect that :)

However, I'm seriously considering changing my birthday now that I had some pretty "close shave" last week, emergency operation and all. I can see this day getting some special attention next year, and maybe that one has me getting into the spirit of things better then 🤸‍♀️ 🎇🎉

What kind of Indian? Cherokee, Sioux, Iroquois?

You can't just tell us you go pick up an Indian and then leave us hangin'

Like most others have said it's just another day for me, I get the usual calls and text and video from my niece and nephew often enough my mom gives me $100 and takes my girls and I out for dinner or she'll sneak them the money to take me out but it's usually just another day for me.

I'm usually scheduled to work on my birthday, so working. If by chance I'm not scheduled to work, I just hang out. Get a few phone calls from my siblings and my parents and that's about it. It's just another day. Birthdays stopped mattering after 21.

Nothing special, just eat food and cake with family and in the end of the night I finish the day with a escort/prostitute like any other normal day.

I have 4 other family members who are basically all born within the same week of September sooo, nobody has their own birthday. We end up having one big party at some stage for all of us and its just kind of celebrated together. Which kind of sucks the older you get because obviously less appreciated when you're an adult. And less and less of a special day. From my mum though I'll usually get a cake, a card and she'll usually take me out for dinner or something close to the time. We used to take a few days off for my birthday but most people at work are born in September too along with other work responsibilities.

Hey!  Same thing here(close - 3 other family members).  September and all even.  Except I'm the last one living out of the shared birth week these days.

I don't do anything.  I've recently taken to taking the day off work... but I take a lot of random days off from work anyway.

Normal day. Get a Happy Birthday from my parents and family members and spend the rest of the day on the internet.
