Do you think LCS is a masterpiece and deserves a new remake?

It is definitely one of favorite and I'll be very pleased if they think of a remake, but that's not going to happen. Most of the people have completely forgotten about it and even R* doesn't cares about it. So, there is no possibility, not even a slight one that we would see a LCS remake.

Why would it need a remake? It's fine the way it is. The only thing that would probably be good for an update are making the textures more HQ and even then, the mobile port already did that.

LCS is a very good game that had the misfortune of coming right after the most massive and popular GTA game of all time, and also being first released on a brand new console that nobody could really predict it was going to be a failure. I'm pretty sure if LCS was a fully fledged GTA title, with a proper development time and initially meant for established platforms (PS2, PC) it wouldn't have been so badly regarded. Rockstar was still learning things at this point, and with LCS and VCS they realized they didn't really need to "annualize" the GTA series with games rushly made with "recycled" assets and lesser budget. In fact, I believe it's quite the opposite: the more they made people wait for a new game, the more copies they could sell. I wouldn't be surprised if their current opinion on LCS and VCS isn't positive at all, just like how they have proven to be in disregard of GTA IV by what we can see on the storyline of GTA V.

I never stated that LCS was going to be made for consoles originally, this is just a mere "what if" I came up with. Both LCS and VCS were originally meant to be PSP exclusives. However, I personally believe that if LCS was originally planned for established consoles instead of a brand new and relatively untested handheld, the game would have performed a bit better both technically and saleswise. It would have never topped SA on sales because of its mostly "recycled" nature, but I believe it would have been a bit better game with less technical issues like the constant stuttering it suffers on all of its versions, and probably a bit more polished with more CGI cutscenes, additional platform releases and other stuff. We will never know, we got what we got and we can't change that.
