Cant't start gta 5 this is what happens in a loop whenever i start it

Social club downloads this update then nothing happens.

If i start the game, same thing.

If i verify in command prompt same thing.

Bump.

Anyway i reinstalled the game.

Renamed the gta 5 folder, add-remove programs-removed gta 5. Installed gta 5, when it started downloading the Gb-s of files i stoped it, and just copied back the content renamed gta 5 folder. From then on gta 5 works. This issue was really annoying however

In the future reinstalling isn't nessercary also FYI uninstalling the game doesn't remove everything it only removes the game files it doesn't remove the game settings or anything else that is in your Documents

 

Go to your Control Panel > Uninstall > Uninstall Rockstar Games Social Club file as well as the Social Club folder in Documents > Rockstar Games.

Why would you give that advice when  reinstalling this way solved my problem?

Well geeze forgive me for trying to help you or anybody else who might encounter this issue in the future because you took the long route to a solution when what I said would've only taken you 10 minutes to do vs however long it would take to completely reinstall the game.

 

Not everybody has super fast internet and reinstalling the game could take hours while the method I posted only takes minutes and does exactly what you reinstalling the game did.

Even though you solved your issue others in the future might come along with the same issue and find this thread so I gave them a second option.

Did you even read beyond "i reinstalled the game?"

'cause if you did, i don't know how you missed the method of reinstallation. I don't have fast internet, and reinstalling this way takes about 10 minutes.

Just sayin.
