I laughed out loud when I read this... Fellow forum posters, this is the true definition of the Rockstar marketing doldrums. We're right at the bottom of the creative pit. Why does Rockstar marketing even bother at this point? Another turreted vehicle to drive around a 12-y-o associate in his Bigness mask? No idea how much it costs, but a couple of million at least? It looks like a flattened/widened Nightshark with roof-mounted turret. Wow, that'll stun the crowds .

 

And Hunting Pack (remix) for a second week. You bloody turds!

 

There are a few excellent cars on discount though, at least that.

The only good thing from this update is the Thruster: with this thing you will be able to access some interesting areas of the map and it's unbeatable in moving crates because it's a PV that spawns at your feet and during missions insurance is free. Michelli GT is a nice little car, unless you hate vehicle flags like I do. 

 

Neither Autarch nor Cyclone IMO are worth the attention and even if the price for Bombushka (as a native in Russian this word always triggers me) looks nice for you think multiple times before buying it and remember that Faggio is faster. You will most definitely regret  buying it and you won't be storing it on the floor of your hangar  for the looks because of its size.

Do R* actually think this lackluster sh*t is fun and entertaining? Or are they experimenting with how little effort they can put into event weeks and still maintain a decent weekly player count? 

 

I'm not buying the Menacer, I don't usually care too much about the functionality of a new vehicle, but I'm not spending that amount of money on something slower, less armoured, less equipped and objectively uglier than what I already own.

Why would R* extend a 2x event nobody talks about? Why can't they add 2x events for Heists (both normal and Doomsday)? Seriously, most of us don't care for Adversary Modes anymore.

That's easy to answer. Because T2 Interactive (Rockstar's parent company) has to produce quarterly reports for its shareholders, and in these reports they talk about what's new and exciting, to make current and potential investors think GTA online is fun, fresh and interesting. So T2 market and re-market things that are dull to us, but interesting and relevant to people who invest in the company and don't actually play the game.

Gotta say, the staleness in armed and armoured vehicles is (for me at least) shifting the focus back to my collection of "regular" vehicles. I'm trying not to spend too much money right now but it's more fun looking at what super and sports cars go on sale than worrying about what silly new war toys are made available.

 

It's probably too unrealistic to think that people are gonna go back to driving cars without guns or armour plates but maybe I'll buy some new things and drive them around in public sessions in passive mode - laughing at all the angry boys and girls shooting eachother.

Rockstar are forcing us to play the game in a way that encourages us to buy new and expensive vehicles, potentially purchase shark cards, and promote their share price globally.

 

Last night I did a Nightclub promotion mission in a Declasse Gang Burrito for some abstract reason, just to enjoy the drive I suppose while putting up 'Dixon' posters around town. I wanted to roleplay the game in my own way, but ultimately had to go through maruading packs of kids sniping from rooftops and hovering in the sky in amazing yet-to-be-discovered technology. I was chased, hounded, probably shouted/laughed at, and finally 'found another session' due to the pointlessness of it all. 

 

You've got to play GTA online on Rockstar's terms, I'm afraid, not on your own.
