TomsonXD Posted August 27, 2018 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Hello I'm just playing GTA San Andreas collecting Vehicles and Special Vehicles. I want to convert a Rustler for EP/FP Rustler in the "Grey Imports" mission, but I have a problem. I have watched some clips on YouTube how to obtain a Rustler early, and what i saw there doesn't work when I have tried this same. I mean that the gates of the San Fierro Airport doesn't want to open even when my "Flying Skill" is 100% now and I don't understand it. I need to use a Towtruck to tow the Rustler from there. Can sb tell me what to do to open these gates? Or these clips on YouTube are fake maybe? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
HundredMill Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) getting maximum flying skills does not mean you can access the airport. you have to complete the flying school later on. however, you can jump over the gates by putting a vehicle beside the building next to the gate, jump on to the car then on to the building, then just walk right off... you can do that to any airport...that is how i usually access the airport before i reached las venturas. i am not sure if you can drive the "special" planes though (they are locked until you complete the flying school). so i suggest you get a towtruck and tow the plane into your nearest the garage, then withdraw it and try driving it. by doing that, you can unlock any vehicle. OrionSR Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 That doesn't seem right. The airport gates unlock at a relatively low skill level. It's the aircraft at SF airport and other various aircraft spawns that won't unlock until flight school. What does the gate guard or popup message say when CJ approaches the gate in LS? Sorviknight Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Well, I don't think need to use the gates to take the Rustler to the garage, you can jump off of the "bridge" that connects two parts on the airport and you should be able to get out of there easily. Also, that's strange because the gates should open from inside regardless of your Flying Skill, must be some kind of glitch that's happening there. lil weasel Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Airport Access: Flying the DoDo for 25 to 30 minutes will grant the Player a "Pilot's License" which is nothing more than a Gate Pass. The Player must still do the "Learning to Fly" ten mission Tests at bronze level. Flying the Jet for 12 to 15 minutes, or the Helicopter for an Hour or so will also get the PASS. The time depends on the Devices CPU speed Jumping the Guard House to gain entry; the Gate will open from the Inside, IF The Player does not park too Close to it, on the out side. The main problem is with the San Fierro Airport. Yes, I can jump on the building next to the gate but when I am behind the gate I can't use the Towtruck anyway. I saw this video on YouTube: I still think it's fake because I can't confirm it by myself. As you can see it's at the beginning of the game. TomsonXD Posted August 28, 2018 Author Share Posted August 28, 2018 I just tried it again and it works now xD I think the gates didn't want to open because I wanted to drive through them during the mission "Gray Imports" maybe. god speed Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) I actually might have been wrong with my advice, seems like the gates on both entries should open if you have a valid pilot's license.
