spaceace76
Hello there, I spent many years modding GTA SA, added everything from high res maps to personally tweaked handling lines and tons of cars and a few other mods. I eventually put the game down, but recently decided to dust off the ol installation and see how it felt on a ds4. I started from scratch this time with a v1 of the game, patched to v1.01, and tried swapping a new car for the cheetah, but the game crashed anytime i would load a save. I dug out my old harddrive and tried that, same thing. I removed the mods to the new install and it worked fine. I even tried a carspawner and that crashed the game too. I’ve tried a ton of fixes: running as admin and compatibility modes, memory fix, setting the affinity to a single core, etc etc etc and nothing will make the game load a save while mods are installed. From what I recall from before the advanced install tools were more developed, swapping a car should be as simple as swapping a couple files that have nothing to do with the game running. What gives? Is this a win 10 compatibility issue? Very confused
El Penguin Bobo
Try to start a new game. That will usually get some mods working without crashing.
LaDiDa
Use a v1.0 exe with silent patch. Anything other then a 1.0 exe is most likely going to be incompatible with a bunch of mods.
