What angers me the most is there are literally tons of people all over Facebook constantly talking about how they are duplicating Deluxos, over and over again, or exploiting the Doomsday Heist replay bug, making millions daily, and yet they're still playing and not facing any action.

Yet the OP here has used legitimate mechanics of the game and gets a sh*tty ban and reset.  That's f*cking abysmal.

Yeah, it's crazy. It should be really easy for rockstar to know if people have been duping cars. If you have more than 2 of the same then there's a good chance you're duping and they could investigate more.

Im sorry to hear that op that sucks. Have you tried contacting them?

Not trying to hijack the topic but.

I hear the terrorbyte is glitched and it shows money held in hands unlike your in game earning as it should i fear when it gets fixed it will be easier for rockstar to hand bans to everyone who do bogdan resets. Due to trolls scanning other players and sending screen shots to them.

I have seen certain case of banned out of nothing and I didn't hear anyone banned out of car duplication. There seems no logic, but I suggest duplicate cars for the shake of less chance of getting banned😝

Spoiler

The logic is In case R*'s anti cheat make a false flag in terms of money in your account, if you have been detected selling duplicated cars, it takes away the case of using menu mod which is bannable.

Before jumping into this thread I had a look at the title and thought this was just another pointless thread about someone giving up GTAOnline and calling the quits because he was over it and that being that but I read further into the topic and this is another case of Rockstar games Anti-cheat system or something along those lines handing out yet another false ban.

Like others have said, something OP may of done would've definitely triggered the anti-cheat or automatic ban hammer to fall on he's account but what exactly it is isn't known and just because he's been banned doesn't mean the AC / BH is right. I mentioned in another thread that Rockstar games wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an Apple & a Banana and I guess I was right on it. When we apply the same mechanics to GTAOnline it's that the Anti-cheat system isn't able to tell the difference between a legit player & someone running around with exploits. Their system is sh*t and the only people I'd see defending it are the usual defenders that are here to back Rockstar up no matter what. Anyway this isn't the thread for finger pointing at the R* Defenders but rather something else different so I won't go on further with that point.

Why is such a system still allowed to stay in place and continue giving out false ban after false ban after false ban and let me ask you this... why the hell aren't gaming sites like Kotaku (I know you hate them but still) Gamespot, IGN etc raising awareness on this? perhaps not many people have brought it to their attention for them to warrant an article on the matter but isn't this the 2nd, maybe 3rd or 4th thread here this week regarding false bans and actually evidence or reasons to back it up? If so we can't continue to let R* get away with this.

Perhaps the other reason for people not taking such issues to the gaming media is fears Rockstar will in the end just release a general statement of "We looked into these individuals account and determined our Anti-cheat system was not wrong in it's decision to hand out bans to these players".  Still why don't you take it to the gaming media anyway? At least it'll give heads up to other players about GTAOnline and perhaps to stand clear of it for the time being or just be extremely careful with their actions in GTAOnline even if it's deemed appropriate to do so in the first place.

You know with the amount of issues & controversies that Rockstar games has gone through recently, I'm surprised false bans ain't at the top of the list currently.

I'd suggest finding someone big in the gaming journalism scene and perhaps creating a scene over it then perhaps we may get Rockstar to say something on the matter even if they came out with the statement I think they will that I mentioned above. I'd also be seeing if you can get into other contact with others who have been falsely banned and also putting pressure on media sites to create awareness of the matter.

Few weeks ago my crew mate got banned for 30 days. I played thousands of hours with him since gta online came out. :/

yeah i think the algorythms caught you glitching. you behavior clearly shows you were following a logic to try to avoid paying the daily fees. i find the sentence bit harsch though. a temporal (eventually long) ban would have been much more appropriated IMO. it wasn't evident to notice that glitching to avoid the daily fees was prejudiciable to R*. it's logic, but not evident to see. maybe you should try to appeal

This is the automatic response you'll get for submitting a ticket that has the word "banned" or "suspended" in it.

It's disgusting. Even a murderer is allowed to appeal his conviction. I love RockStar and it's games, but it's thought and decision processes really bug me at times. If I ever got a reset under these circumstances, I would never buy another RS game again. It's the injustice I can't stand in life.

They did! Most of them even tryed to contact R* games and got either no statement at all or the statement that their anti cheat is correct.

If I remember correctly one german news site even got the regular support response (the automated response you get when you contact them) as a statement.

R* does not give a flying f*ck. The players are worth less than dirt for them.

That's probably the best option here I think. The only way they will change is if there is some more visible adverse publicity. It's clear false bans and character resets are happening - and sometimes to hardcore fans who have played for years. Although I've managed to avoid it, it makes me wonder how much I want to keep playing, if one day all my progress will randomly be wiped.

Firstly, that really blows OP, it's a sh*t situation I wouldn't wish on any player other than malicious mod menu users.

The character wipe with no reason or appeal is shocking. It does depend on who you are though. When Broughy took shots at R* in a video he found himself banned, so 30 days away from the game plus full character wipe on PS4, Xbox1 and PC, coincidence? I think not. But after contacting R* he got his PS4 and Xbox1 accounts back.

So much for there being no appeal or character restoration. You just need enough followers.

I wouldn't be surprised if R* is slapped with a heavy lawsuit regarding false bans, though with so much profit they have from massive sales ($6 billion, IIRC), they'll only get a slap on the wrist and get away with pretty much everything.

Act like me. Wait the 30 days, spam their support so R* has to pay for it (won't help anyway), search for a "service" that gives you 300mil and a rank120 in 5min. and enjoy the game again with the profit/benefit to only buy the stuff you need (looking at you, old long full of useless stuff Pegasus list). A fresh start is satisfying. And it seems, that my "service guy" kept his word. I'm still in the game, enjoying my sh*tload of cash he gave me "undetected" and playing as usual.

If R* asks for that - I've answeared.

That's because you won't be detected. My modded account is still up and running and my mates with modded accounts were never touched by the balance adjustments or let alone bans. Those who have got their modded money smart via service will be forever safe because of a small technicality R* can't or don't want to fix.

Just my two cents, not taking sides but you kinda did provide proof you were "gaming the system", R* may have seen it or someone reported it and with hard evidence you were banned.

I don't agree with it but its like counting cards at a casino, not illegal but you can be barred for it. I bet you will also find that in the EULA or ToS for GTA Online you will see that R* can ban you for anything and the decision is final and you have no legal recourse and by playing GTA Online you agree to these terms.

Can you elaborate on what exactly was the proof that i gamed the system?

AFK'ing the game while you worked. I doubt R* wants you doing that or else they would not have a system to kick you for being idle. You purposefully twisted game mechanics to get round limitations to other game mechanics which I assume would be an exploit in their eyes and then broadcast it for everyone to see.

Like I said, it's like counting cards. Not illegal but the house frowns upon it and while you are in R*s house you okay by their rules.

Then the question is that AFK while on contact mission - why is this allowed because there is no limit on how long you can be in contact mission (compared to free roam events where everything is limited). Because R* wants people to spend more time on contact missions (as they payout also depends on how long you stay in a mission - the longer you play the bigger the payout)?

And let us be honest - every other player AFKs in GTAO.

Regarding streaming - i was the only one watching it (ok, sometimes there was one another random person) - and actually how would R* know if i streamed?

Because when R* designed the Contact Missions AFKing was not a thing and neve would be. The bonus has a cap of a few thousand for a few minutes and R* won't go back and change stuff and also you will be kicked for being idle unless you twist the system and watch TV. Just standing will get you kicked.

There is no limit to how long you can spend in an open lobby if you keep moving. The TV trick works in open lobbies as well.

Perhaps someone reported your Stream. Don't underestimate how petty people are.

My money is you having some innocent third party software running in the background that is being mistakenly flagged by their cheat detection algorithm.

I'm really sorry to hear that OP. It's utterly ridiculous how easily Rockstar's anti-cheat system gets triggered nowadays, especially on PC. Put the slightest toe out of line and bam, banned and character reset.

Oh **** this is similar to my case, my old acc received a permaban just 2 days after the suspension expired. I just used the refunded sharkcard money to repurchase most stuff I owned since there was a good discount week and helped friends sell their stuff. Im feeling with you OP, not knowing what I could have done wrong. :(

GreedTheftAbuse

I believe it's either for afk-ing or large money transfer triggered. I just got banned for a month & my character will be reset. Just purchased 2 Megalodon cards too, because of 2x GTA $ bonus on card purchases. This is how R* thanks it's long time players. I never modded, glitched, or duplicated, hence why I got shark cards instead, since I think grinding is a huge waste of time, time that is better spent on other things in life. Been nightclub afk-ing with the fees for about 3 weeks. Caught a R* dev watching me in a public session on the second day of afk-ing while I made nightclub sale. Figured invite only session is better for afk-ing, purchased 2 Megalodons on Friday Nov 9th, earlier today purchased some cars in game, just to get a message 2 hours later that I've been banned till 11th of December & my character will be reset. Take from my story what you can. No explanation don't help with correcting what gets account banned in the first place.
