Bethesda's preemptive response to griefing.

So I came across this article in regards to how Bethesda plans to counter griefing in fallout 74.

TLDR:

>initial assault on an unwilling victim does minimal damage. 

>victim has choice to retaliate 

>if victim does not retaliate they lose nothing but needing to respawning

>griefer earns no loot or exp for killing an unwilling victim.

>griefers loses player blips

>griefers acquire bounty paid out of his pocket that scales with level

>griefers get griefed

 

While I'd say this is too late for gtao in the era of gta5, I personally think this would be fantastic for gta6o.

But GTAO sells griefing tools.

And there will be griefing in this increasingly attractive game, albeit more creative one.
