yoječ
I'd go for Windows 10, unless you have some specific reason to stick with 7 (software incompatibility, too old hardware, etc.)
Andreaz1
Do you have any (very) specific reasons to go for an older and obsolete operating system? If not, then why would you?

Guest
Microsoft's DRM may have locked you out for <insert reason here>. You need to buy a new license key or phone up Microsoft support. If you state you had a hardware problem and replaced faulty hardware Microsoft will/should give you a new key.

Davve95
1. Does all mods and mod tools for GTA SA work well on Windows 10 ? 2. I'm planning on switching from 7 to 10. And is it true that Win 10 collects information and then sends with out you knowing? If so - are there anyway to stop it? 3. I have an old SSD and a new one, I'll install on the new one. Are there any great way to access my files from the old drive? (it runs Windows 7 currently) 4. And the most important question! Do they still give out Windows 10 for free? Or are there anyway to get it for free? (legally) (Sorry for bumping, but better then creating a new topic?) choice Edited November 12, 2018 by Davve95
sivispacem
W10 doesn't collect and silently transmit meaningfully more information than 7 or 8. Guest
3. Buy a docking station for the SSD or reconnect to Pc. Breadboard or find a new slot. 4. No.
yoječ
1. I don't know if all of the tools and mods work on 10, but the GTA itself does. 2. There are tools available to limit/disable telemetry. I personally use WinAero Tweaker to configure many of the system's settings. Fully updated Windows 7 and 8 are pretty similar to 10 in this regard. 3. Can't you jut connect both drives at once? 4. It was never given out for free in itself, but if I'm not mistaken you can still upgrade from 7/8 to 10 free of charge, just type in your 7/8 serial number while installing 10. Davve95
Thank you! I was unsure if I could plug in both. Just because Win 7 is alredy installed on it. But I get it now.
