Faraday
I'm planning to buy a PS4 Pro and pair it up with a new TV. The old screen I have used since 2011 is ready to be replaced. I'm at a crossroads. The choice is between Sony X900F and Samsung MU8005. Both are 65" models. But the price difference is where it's at. The Sony will cut me about 1000$ shorter than the Samsung will. Is it worth the price difference? Or do you think the money is better placed in decent sound equipment? https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x900f-vs-samsung-mu8000/585/420#usage*4854!threshold*0.
wagszilla
I've been looking into new TVs for RDR2. The Sony has better picture quality, the Samsung is more geared towards gaming. The Samsung has bad local dimming so this means worst picture and contrast. I'm not sold on any of the gaming features of the MU8000 outside of the superior input lag personally but that's your call. I'm leaning and would recommend the Vizio P Series. Cheaper, better picture.
Guest
If you need sound equipment I'd go with the Samsung. My sound system is from the late 90's and it still packs a punch with dynamic sound that is on par with any sound system you can buy today. Tv's come and go. A good sound sytem could last you a lifetime. I'm not getting rid of mine anytime soon. Edited November 9, 2018 by Guest
