TTsai
hi, how do i use the directional buttons instead of the stick? i've been looking in the settings, and i tried all modes, but can't get it to work. i'm more used to using the up-down-left-right buttons. the stick is too long. thanks. Fraid' not possible my friend but using the D-Pad wouldn't work very well anyway as you'll only be able to watch Forward/Backwards/Sideways Left/Sideways Right you wouldn't be able to turn around or a bunch of other options that the stick allows you to control the character. What games still use DPad as the main source for moving the character? Edited August 18, 2018 by AiraCobra

What games still use DPad as the main source for moving the character? sorry, i didn't mean to completely use a d-pad. i just want to use the directional buttons to control the directions which the car/character goes. my controller does have L3 and R3, but i just feel more comfortable using the directional buttons. the funny thing is that, i don't know if this was a glitch for pc, earlier today, when i started the game, i could actually control the car/character using the buttons, and i could call the cellphone screen using L3, so for some reason, the control itself reversed, and i don't know how it happened. now everything is back to "normal", which is why i'm asking this question here. thank you. I know what you were asking and I stand by my original reply that it's not possible because you wouldn't be able to control your character the same way as via sticks as you would only be able to go in a straight line and direct left/direct right you wouldn't be able to swerve to go around traffic you could just lane hop like in game apps where you have to switch lanes to grab the coins and avoid objects it would look exactly like that so you wouldn't have any fluid movements. You understand what I'm trying to say? Edited August 19, 2018 by AiraCobra

You understand what I'm trying to say? true, a stick would have complete 360 degrees of control, whereas, the best i can get from d-pad would be the multiplier of 90. if i pressed up+left at the same time, i could only get 270 degree. but i swear, something went wrong this morning, and i was actually using d-pad to control directions, and i could call the cellphone using the L3 stick. ---> nevermind, i just figured out that there is a button on the controller that i can press down, and it switches the controls between L3 and the directional buttons.
