Beantown985
I already have a Rhino tano and the money is 1.6 (sale at the moment), versus saving towards an opressor or getting the fort Zancudo hangar I’ve been wanting (access to the Lazer). What upgrades are available via the MOC, and is there anything it can be used in beyond free roam? Thank you for reading and replying.
fw3
I can only speak from my own perspective. I don't recall what the upgrades are, exactly, as I bought the APC out of nostalgia for GTAVI. What I can say about it is that I bought it and sold it within a week, as it was really fun to mainly use as a griefing vehicle and nothing much else. If you've got friends online, then yes, it has its appeal and probably has a lot more benefits if you use in for missions and such. For me, again, it was a nostalgia purchase. However, upon selling it, there were zero regrets. For me, it was useless and I enjoy the Rhino more than I did the APC.(note: the APC in GTAIV was a ton of fun because there wasn't much else like it. In GTAO, there are many other loaded vehicles like it that I found to be more fun.) Also, I recommend you check out this beautifully hand-crafted thread, already created just for this topic by GTA FAN 1011. Cheers! Edited August 18, 2018 by fw3 Reason for edit: My OCD, man. BOOGIEMAN219
I have it with the sam missiles and park it in the tunnels with a bounty on me to hide what im in then start the vip job fortified, drive the fortified van in the tunnels and protect it, basically nothing survives a sam missile spam in the tunnels but on the street I actually prefer the khanjali tank. Jenkiiii
Hello again, OP. The APC is really cool, but its major flaw is that it really needs a second player in the missile turret seat. It's not like the tank that lets you role, fire and rumble in one go. You need to find a second player to act as 'gunner' or stop the vehicle, jump into the gunner's seat yourself, and then jump back to the driver's seat again. It's bit awkward for sole warriors in battle. All The Best! Edited August 18, 2018 by Jenkiiii Yellow Dog with Cone and Shadowfennekin
CaptainMarvel
Looks great, is a nice addition if you’re a nostalgic player and a collector/completionist vehicle hoarder, but is hindered by needing a second player as gunner. That being said, our crew loves the APC when it comes to griefer players or Heli pests.
JustCallMeNiko
The APC is kinda useless even if you can find a buddy to drive or shoot...the limited ammo it carries means you will need to continually return it to your garage to reload it... We actually use the stock cannon, we’ve gotten very good with this and using our surroundings in case of Jet pilot tries to focus on us. CarimboHanky
i own the apc and think its fun, the fact you can drive on land and on water is really cool. FlacidJack

Water reduces splash damage from explosive cannons btw. Generally, APC is nice but in 2018 there are alternatives. The topic that was linked by fw3 is a bit obsolete, since mines are available for Pick up custom and Khanjali. Dr.Rosenthal
The APC is good but depending on what you’ll use it for, there probably are better/more useful vehicles to get 1st. Btw, I just switched back to cannon from SAM battery, 1st time since I got it. Looks better, and the SAM battery isn’t exactly more useful imo. LunaticPandora
I don't think its great as a weaponized vehicle, as you need 2 people to get the most out of it, and it feels more like a pve vehicle than a pvp 1, which makes the 2-person restriction confusing. However, ignoring that, it is a ton of fun to drive, it can hop over most cars with its giant wheels without making them explode, and has a real bouncy feel to it. It's not bad off road either. You can even customize those giant wheels, so you can give it massive dollar rims if you really want, which is pretty hilarious. Either way you could always get it just because there's nothing else quite like it online, and despite its drawbacks its still not a bad purchase imo. Smooth Longsack
Invest in yourself. What investment will net you the greatest return? Think bunker, nightclub, etc... Vehicles that can further reduce grinding time are solid investments as well. Think oppressor, buzzard, kuruma, etc. Your main issue seems to be cash flow. Actually, I'd buy the thruster if you need a weaponized vehicle. Its invaluable in freemode.
Bakkerbaard
I've got the APC. Initally because I never could resist an APC ever since I won wars with it in Command & Conquer. Since I'm a solo player I don't get much use out of it, but I do know that the standard cannon is way better than the missile battery, I think. No reloads, so far just as explosive and it looks better too. And the best part of it is that with mu Chumash bunker on a cliff next to the sea and a near invisble hump just in front of it, it doesn't matter if you launch yourself into the ocean. Main thing I use it for nowadays in that bunker supply mission that has you shoot down the helicopters. Often the cargo falls into the Alamo Sea and the minute you pick it up a couple of Buzzards show up. So I call up the APC and float around in the gunner seat untill they run out of Buzzards. I suppose I could wait untill the choppers are over land, but that's just wasting a perfectly good excuse for an APC. Anyway, if you like APCs, get it. That was and really still is my only real reason to get it.

Buy what you feel would be most beneficial and worth the investment and can increase your income. Smooth Longsack
