Story Mode happens after Online?

If someone has already mentioned this, then I apologize. People usually consider Story Mode to take place after Online, right? However, with the addition of the Terrorbyte, we got a client mission where we sneak into Lifeinvader and Paige says they've buffed the security "since the Jay Norris" incident. So, if that's the case, Online has to take place after Story Mode, right or could it be an oversight by Rockstar?

I dunno it seems like they can't make their mind up. But more points to it being after for sure.

Certain older aspects of GTAO are set before or roughly contemporary with the single player plot. At some point the timeline shifted and new additions to GTAO began to be set after story mode. When exactly the shift took place is up for excruciatingly pedantic debate but it's safe to say that everything since at least Gunrunning is set post-story.

Ok, I guess that makes sense. I was just really confused when she said that and was curious if anyone else noticed. lol
