The only reason for the delay is money. And I do understand, we all love money and R* wants more of it.....But it still sucks and is terrible for customers. This is a SP game and by waiting for R* to release the game on the PC I already got spoiled by the internet a couple of times...Without even searching for the RDR gameplay clips or anything...Just random on a couple of videos....It sucks. Not the end of the world, and I am not salty that people on consoles get to play it....I am glad they could.....but I am not able to experience the game blind anymore, since I got spoiled with some of the key moments in the game. I am more than patient, but all this delay for money just makes you feel like a second rate customer. I would understand month or two, but a year or more ? even 8 months? I don't know...The sales for RDR2 reached it's peak long ago...and they still keep silent. You just loose all the hype and will to play after such a long time and all the spoilers that are coming.....

 

People will say that I had a choice and I could buy a PS4 cheap....the thing is that I really couldn't...I am not in a situation to buy a PS4, a new TV (I do not watch TV and the old one is ancient), bypass some issues with PS Store (since a lot of countries are not even listed there and you have to use a different Paypal account and what not to make it work)...And I would buy PS4 for one game, maybe two...That is not an investment that would be worthwhile for my situation. 

 

I just wanted a PC version after an understandable delay, which I would gladly pay and enjoy....but nope....you have to wait a year or so.....For a version that is probably complete and updated regularly with the console versions....A game that was already spoiled for me a couple of times....Most AAA companies release simultaniosly right now, and have no problems with the profit...But not R* and Take Two, they just have to take those couple of millions over on top of the billions they already earned....There are plenty of games out there for us to play, but western OW game is just something special for a lot of people,. And all this just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Only 6 months? The fact that the game is even delayed for the PC....is a terrible practice in the first place. Especially for such a heavy story driven SP game like RDR2.

Or at least confirming the game for PC, their tactics are really satanic.

I'm thinking RDR Online isn't stable enough yet for them to release RDR2 on PC but god I'm hoping they release it sometime in June or July like Yan2295 said.

True as sh*t, I've seen a lot of spoilers but I still want to play it myself.

I played it knowing what would happen at the end. I don't know if it ruined the experience per se, but I wish I could have done one playthrough blind.

 

Some asshole on YouTube did it one purpose, may they burn in hell. sh*theads.

If you've searched for RDR2 or games in the recent past and go to the YouTube homepage your suggestions will often be filled with spoilerific titles and thumbnails. It's a pretty large and well known problem but YouTube in 2019 is a mess when it comes to fixing things and being reasonable.

Yeah, the best you can do is get a browser extension called Video Blocker that lets you block spoilerific titles and channels.

Rockstar barely celebrate or do anything in honour of their anniversaries so I wouldn't get my hopes up my self.

Not really, I think they might announce the PC version one week after the online goes out of beta with this big update coming soon as they said on spring?

It might be something like this I think. Maybe not a week, but a couple for sure....Hype up the game a bit more with full release of RDR2 online, get the leftovers from people who waited for a "full" online version (even though I consider RDR Online to be already "full", that BETA sign is just a marketing BS). Wait for a while to get the sales up a bit and then announce PC version and hype up the game all over....That might work.

Well, Spring officially ends on the 21st of June. Do we expect Red Dead Online to come out of beta in give or take 40 days? I don't really know what Red Dead Online is like at the moment as I've never played it but from what I've read online and seen on YouTube, it's pretty terrible. I'm hoping that we get an announcement in June or July and then hope for a late 2019 release. But this is Rockstar we are talking about. They could easily delay it until 2020 however, I don't think they will do this. Even though they delayed GTA 5 on PC, it had a lot more hype and general attention than Red Dead Redemption 2 currently has. Because of this, I think Rockstar will release the game this year on PC. If we don't hear anything by the end of the year, I suspect there won't be a PC release.

Red Dead Online is in a pretty terrible state, yes....But I don't think that Online coming out of Beta has anything to do with the state of the game. IMO it is marketing and they are trying to use it as an excuse for the mode being in terrible state. It will still be terrible when it comes out of beta, so it doesn't matter how long they take  It is just a name "BETA" attached to it, nothing more

IT'S PURE SPECULATION

 

GTA V on PS3 and 360 was released on the 17th of September 2013. In June 2014 at E3, GTA V was announced to be released for PS4 and XONE and a few hours later for PC, it was first meant to release alongside the next-gen versions but delayed 2 times for a final release the 14 April 2015.

 

We can apply the same pattern for RDR2 and next-gens versions can't get in the way this time.

A fall release would be the most logic one but R* is R* and we can expect (100%) a delay or multiple delays till April of next year.

 

Then we have the next GTA which will be announced a year and half or 2 years after the release of RDR2 PC (depends on the release date of the version,like end 2019 or start 2020), that give us a 2021-2022 announcement with a release in 2023-2024, a decade since GTA V (sorry i made you so old).

 

What do you think?

I highly doubt we will get something for E3.....but who knows, as far as I remember, GTA V Remastered was revelaled during 2014's event....But it was on PS panel, and they are skiping E3 this year so.....A man can dream.

Yeah, and I think that State of Play is already over, it was on May 9th. Hopefully there will be some news and hints in june/july as we kinda predicted already, but I just don't know anymore.....I was a big optimist when I joined this thread....now I am slowly turning into an annoying pessimist  I miss Yan2295, at least we would have some leaks to go on

This is new, it's a physics programmer. This first leak is mentionning RDR2 PC on a job as a programmer.
