Yeah but according to current CEO of the Take-Two Mr. Zelnick, keeping RDR2 as a console exclusive would be a stupid decision. They already know that for 10 years, a lot of things have changed:

 

1- PC market got bigger

2- Porting to the PC became much easier than 2010s due to consoles have started to use x86 architecture 

3- in 2018, Steam averaged 47 million daily active PC users and 90 million monthly active PC users.

4- Epic Games Store provides developers to much better profit revenues.

I know there is a lot of leaks,proofs and reasons that a PC version should already exist , but still there is no official confirmation.

Haven't you people learnt after GTA5? It had build log on PS3 with mentions of PC, Xbone and PS4 versions, yet everyone was "surprised" it came out on them.

The only shocked people that'll appear once the PC version is announced, are those that were shocked it was released on PC and not just console exclusive.

It'll come to PC. Maybe not this year, but it will come.

 

Can't wait to see what sensible mods are created for it - customisable weapon loadout, stash boxes, balanced wanted system, longer day/night/weather cycles etc.

Be able to run when you are at the camp,flying horses....

And most important the 60fps experience. This is why we are waiting for PC version.

I kinda like that. The thing I hope for is the changes to Survival elements, making them more impactful. And I also wish for the trace removal for bullets, they look so weird

Sone sort of survival mode would suit this game, so long as it doesn't involve sleep-to-save mechanic.

 

The survival elements of any game are my favourite but RDR2 only went halfway with them.

I really thought R* would announce a pc version this spring, since we are already in may now i guess spring is over. I was naive....

I'm a pc gamer, but this isn't  my typical type of game so forgive me if this sounds super dumb. But, how would the controls on this work? Would it have to be joystick / controller based? Or would I maybe have to have mouse and keyboard trying to move with wasd and rotate movement with other hot keys then rotate view with the mouse scroll?

 

How does this typically work?

How does this typically work?

 

 

Camera and sometimes player orientation changes with mouse movement - the mouse would act like the right stick and WASD like the left stick. You can also move using WASD. It would be just like almost every other third person game out on PC, including the GTA games.

I think they are going for the GTA V strategy again, wait for next consoles and then release a remaster. PC version releases at the same time or shortly after the remastered.

To many suckas be double or tripple dipping, so it's become a viable strategy for them

when last gen GTAV came out it already looked dated and ugly when it comes to some textures and vegetation, so it was a pretty good idea to remaster it and wait for ps4/xbx1 release

in RDR2 everything looks absolutely fine there is not much to improve, so I just dont see this 'wait for nextgen consoles scenario' to happen again especially considering new consoles wont be out in like a year or two

by then this game wont be relevant anymore

I seriously suggest wearing a  nappy when you first play RDR2 on the PC.

It'll come...but I wouldn't expect it this year. Games only been out 6 months so people are being impatient. I guess it also depends on next gen console release.

I wouldn't call people impatient...Just generaly sick of the R* and Take Two's BS....

 

Only 6 months? The fact that the game is even delayed for the PC....is a terrible practice in the first place. Especially for such a heavy story driven SP game like RDR2.

Why is it terrible practice? Rockstar to my knowledge has never released on PC synonomously with console. GTAV arrived 1.5yrs later, and they always intended to release on PC. If GTAV PC sales are anything to go by, RDR2 will be on PC. Maybe they have reasons for delaying it? Could be technical reasons or because they want to get online established first. Who knows...well, not us since R* are so quiet.

It's called 'GTA Syndrome.'  Make PC players sweat, curse and annoyed at R*, only to announce it later and be hailed as gods by those very same people.  (Don't fall for it)

It might well be the last time it ever happens if the integration between XBox and PC carries on in the way MS seem to be heading.  The Windows 10 Testing Builds are showing closer and closer support for XBox titles on PC, so next time they might have to release them all together because we'll be able to play them anyway.
