PC Gaming Show will be in E3 this year, can we expect an RDR2 PC announcement in this conference?

1 : R* don't really bother with the shows.  There's more chance of a trailer during any of the other shows than there is in the PC Gamer show.  Either that or they'll troll the events by releasing something to the Newswire while the show / build up is underway.

2 : The PC Gamer Show is much more about the Indy and smaller scale PC Devs than the big names, it's a chance for them to get some promotion.  I'm expecting something from SCS over ETS2 / ATS more than something from R* over RDR2.  (Although SCS might trailer console versions of the trucking sims, now their renderer is being updated to full DX11 over the rest of this year, they've hinted they might do console versions and XBOX is not much further to develop.)

Wouldn't suprise me if they wait as late as possible to announce/release. This way they can get as many people to buy it on console.

No. BUT they might announce it on their newswire page when the E3 show is underway. 

 

Exactly like how GTA V was announced during E3.

Not really gonna be exactly how it was seeing as the PC version was announced along with the NG versions if I remember right. There's no NG versions to announce this time and the PC Gamer show is traditionally indie focused like Sikee said, though they have got one or two bigish reveals over the years. I doubt we'll get anything RDR2 PC related at E3 my self.

It requires a complete rewrite of the graphical part of RAGE to support it and obviously you need to learn how to implement it. For the next games maybe but again who knows what they're planning.

For now it's bullsh*t. They won't announce a game the 22nd of April to only release it 4 months after.

It doesn't say it will be released 2 weeks after. It says 9th of July. It's probably fake but just came across it on 4chan and thought I might as well post it here so it can be discussed.

The 22nd is a Monday. 

 

Faker than a pair of Vinewood tits. Also, since Take-Two seems to be going all in with Epic, RDR2 being on the store does seem increasingly more likely. Sucks, but I'm confident the Rockstar Warehouse will still be an option for us. There's no way RDR2 PC isn't being sold on there come launch.

After seeing BL3 being an Epic Exclusive, I am now 100% convinced that RDR 2 will be the same. I think the leak is just "going-along" with the current Epic store controversy so it's definitely BS.

 

I guess I will buy the boxed version then.

Yeah I was skeptical at first but now I wouldn't rule out RDR2 being a timed Epic exclusive, of course it will still be available on R* Warehouse/Social Club so it wouldn't be as big of a problem as if it was available only on Epic store.

Yeah and they're saying the announcement will be using Western time zone. Rockstar uses Eastern.

It's implied that by also temporarily releasing it exclusively on Epic Store they would get showered in fortnite money by Epic for it, otherwise they wouldn't bother.

I somehow doubt Rockstar/Take Two would be that dumb to make one of there biggest IPs a timed exclusive. There has been a lot of backlash on the timed exclusives before just imagine what would happen if it happened to RDR2.

It's not an exclusive if it's released on Epic AND R* launcher, all of the other games are only on Epic for 1 year, this leak says that it will never be released on Steam but there's no mention of Warehouse version. I'm pretty sure if it's real that T2 did this on purpose to limit the backlash but at the same time obtain more money.

But they are forgetting about the third launcher called Pirate Bay, many people would rather download it rather then buy it on Epic or R*Warehouse. Some people dont want or need more launchers then necessary, i would rather wait for a Steam release rather then buying it anywhere else so i can have all my games on the same platform. Forcing someone is never a good choice and i hate to see this trend continue in pc gaming, i would have nothing against epic if im not forces to buy some games there.

There's a million leaks on 4chan every week, every now and then one of them is legit. Not sure I believe this one, though the DLC thing is strongly suspected to be the reason why Ubisoft have jumped ship to Epic and uPlay only on PC, it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility that Take-Two would want a similar deal for a Rockstar game given how successful GTAO has been with it's shark cards.

 

Nothing really unusual with the idea of it announcing this month and releasing 3-4 months later either, it's a PC version not a brand new game so on paper they do not need a significant amount of time to promote. That being said July is an odd release month for games, I'd have guessed August or September over it personally.

Honestly that got me hyped but i still have concerns. I'm okay if it's released on Epic and Warehouse, i'll take the warehouse version. The leaker said " Catch me tomorrow about Bungie's next game" Maybe it will make him trustworthy if what he's saying about Bungie is true

If Borderlands 3's epic games exclusivity is anything to see, it's obvious alot of game devs are preferring EPG over Steam at the moment, and I don't blame them with Steam's shares not being ideal.

They might get more money per sold game but will they sell more if you limit the consumers choices with exclusivity? Im 100% sure that RDR2 will release on Steam, its the biggest platform for PC gaming.

I mean, they are receiving very big payments by Epic just to release their game exclusively on EGS for 6 months/a year, of course they are preferring it at the moment.

I think this is nowhere near enough for a permanent exclusive deal (and it would be the first if I'm not mistaken) on Epic store though. Also the "leaker" forgot that valve isn't taking a fixed 30% anymore.

Imo it's completely made-up, as @kabbee said they are also very specific informations, so probably a troll.
