Hopefully it will come to PC. Have managed to keep myself spoiler free with that in mind. Crazy to play RDD2 but not enough to spend money on a console, especially since I just got a gaming rig that could easily play it.

The question is more when then if. I have sadly gotten the ending spoiled for me.

I purposely do not come in the RDR2 thread, apart from here, so I don't get spoilers.  I know the 'general story and ending,' but not the specifics.

The ending video showed up for me as a recommendation on a video that had nothing to to with RDR2.

Guys I apologize if this is not the thread for it (delete my comment if it isn't) but do you think my PC could manage 1080p & Low settings? Ryzen 3 1300X, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM.

Noone can say how the game's gonna run on a specific setup. We can just guess. It's 'Can my PC handle GTA V' all over again...

Same for me :( I got spoiled a couple of times. Recently too, on a fail video or something....They usually add spoiler warning, but not this time :(

For real? You'd get way more than low with a 1060. At 1080p no less. Unless the game somehow ends up being a hunk of sh*t at launch, you're good to go for High, if not some points Ultra (if you don't mind dips like me).

I can't speak for the CPU since I haven't used AMD in a while, though.

It's not the right time to speak about this stuff because we don't even know if RDR2 is coming to PC or not.

Low? If the optimization is hot garbage, sure you can run it at low settings. If it is anywhere near as decent as GTA V, then Max 50-60fps @ 1080p. You might face a slight bottleneck from your CPU though. Not much but slight.

There is 4 possibilities for Rockstar to annonce RDR2 for PC.

1- (The earliest) Annonce it after the end of the fiscal year of take two (march 31st 2019) so probably april-may and a sept-october release date.

2- Yan timing (the most possible imo) summer annoncement (june-august) and fall release.

3- Fall annoncement and spring 2020 release.

4- Wait for next gen consoles and release the PC version with them (like GTA V) , ( the least probable imo but still possible)

I think the 2nd one is most believeable. It would be similar to the GTA V PC announcement. I doubt it will be with next-gen as they haven't even been announced yet and will probably come out late 2020?

So did I, but it did little to detract my enjoyment of the game when I did play it.

I was thinking and realized that we haven't heard anything about a pc version since december last year when that video leak showed, before that we had Media Markt who put up the pc version and also the codes from the companion app. But we haven't heard anything this year, can that mean something?

For number 2- Jan actually said that the release might be june-july, not the announcement. But knowing R*, they would probably delay that so fall release might be likely. But yeah, Jan's source said June-July release was on the table wheh he last heard about it, not announcement.

The game will likely be able to run on these specifics:

OS: Windows 95 or better (don't go beyond ME, that could cause crashes with the time period of the game)

CPU: Intel Celeron 5

RAM: 1.1 KHz 2MB (needs two for the horse trotting rhythm)

Hard Drive: 10MB Seagate Redgate

Mouse: White

Keyboard: If you have a typewriter from the late 19th century, you can use its plug and play capability by daisy-chaining two Sega 32 CD drives to the computers power supply

PSU: 1.21 Gigawatts, which will cause a lot of unfortunate users to groan, but you merely need the power than the faith.

Good luck to all.

Honestly, the best bet is to take GTA V's recommended requirements and just assume they'll be the minimum for RDR2. Keeping in mind said recommended specs are very generous.

EqBmWPk.png

RDR 2 recommended will most likely include a decent i7 instead of the i5, maybe more RAM and a 700/900/1000 series GPU. Going by GTA V's minimum reqs (which include a 9800 GT, lol) we could be looking at something even lower than that.

This sounds like a pretty reasonable ballpark I reckon. But for now I'll be waiting hopefully for an official announcement of a PC release, while maintaining my best efforts to avoid spoilers!

One area where it's definitely going to be a behemoth regardless of your specs is disk size. It's 105-110 GB on the consoles, on PC with bigger audio files and textures, that's... gonna be a scary big game. At launch GTA V (current-gen) was 45 GB on the consoles and ~60 on PC iirc.

If it was coming in june-july they should've announce it already,

I am pretty sure they delayed that date, we all know rockstar.

I think a PC release will come out this year (already milked most of the console sales and RDO needs the extra players) or early next year (if Rockstar can't manage), but they can double-dip and announce yet another 'enhanced' version of RDRII for both PC and next-gen consoles. So probably 2-3, and maybe 4.

Well, that make sense because most of modern AAA open world games this days use a GTX 660 as a minimum and a core i5.

The recommended req imo will have an i7 and a GTX 1060-1070 for 60 fps 1080p high.

I don't know if that PC version leak video has ever been posted here but I think R* dev team is already working on the PC version. As far as I remember, similar leak stuff happened for the GTA V and many people told us that it was fake but it was real. Those who wants to play on PC, just wait! :)

EDIT: Oh, it was already posted here on the december but I won't remove it for those who are not aware of this leak.

Not only it was posted it was also proven fake due to a few wrong details in the video.

It wasn't PROVEN to be fake, but it probably is.

Like what? As far as I know, most of the people doing analysis actually concluded that we cannot know for sure. There are some weird things (a lot of those could be attributed to very early stages of the developement) but there are also some pretty genuine things that, if really faked, would take an enormuous amount of time and care to do. It could be fake as much as legit, based on most of the analysis. I could be wrong, of course.

Say that Rockstar announces a release date for the PC this summer what are the chances of them delaying the game? It wouldn't be the first time its happened.
