And what is your proof its real? All of this can easily be faked...

I do not have a proof of it being real but i can tell you that the amount of sophistication that would be needed to reproduce such a video would be high class. It cannot be easily faked, quite the contrary.

You would need to take an rdr2 video, create and overlay a pc-customized menu on top and animate it to minutiae; once the video is complete, pick a crappy camera and record the results playing on screen.

I'm pretty sure the same deal was done with GTAV PC, and now again for RDR2 PC. This one is more impressive though.

If your going to go around demanding proof for it being fake you most certainly do need to proof for it being real. The fact alone that there is no proof that it's real is proof enough that it's fake.

You'd be surprised to the lengths of some people will go to make fake leaks. This guy fooled people into thinking that rayman would be in smash brothers with a really good fake leak, he even made a video later showing how he did it.

Why is the "Applicant" some time "Rockstar Games" and other times "IARC" ?

IARC means automated ratings provided by filling online form on participating storefront (Google Play, Windows/Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, Oculus, Origin, and you can't use that rating outside those digital storefronts).

Rating is provided entirely by your answers online and not checked by human unless there are some complaints.

Notable non-participants: Steam, Rockstar Launcher. Playstation Store is participant in select regions, but not in Australia.

So it's very suspicious. I think Rockstar could afford to get real rating (they already have one too).

I don't think they're working on Android port, so Google Play can't be it. Actually I don't know if Stadia would count as Google Play. Then it comes question if Stadia requires IARC rating.(Do other AAA Stadia games have entry too?)

I don't think: Windows Store doesn't require it afaik (esp. since, they already sell on xbox). So not likely, besides they'd still have to get real rating for Rockstar Launcher, so IARC rating would be useless.

Nintendo eShop. I think digital only Switch port is unlikely. To put it lightly.

Oculus. VR port? Sure why not...

Origin. Origin doesn't really sell games outside Origin Access. I don't see it releasing on Origin Access.

TLD;DR. Very Suspicious. Slight possibility of Stadia rating. (Almost) Definitely not a rating for PC version regardless.

Not at all. It can be easily made. Tried to reproduce this fake video and got the same results placing UI elements extracted from RDR 2 in Unity.

I doubt it's Stadia for the sole reason of it not launching in Australia, making it so there's no point in classifying for it. And even if it was Stadia, PC version would launch at the same time. Stadia's running Linux/Vulkan I believe, so there wouldn't be an issue of bringing it to PC, unless Stadia bought out exclusivity for RDR2 (100% won't happen).

I don't agree with what your saying. I still think it's most likely a PC release however if what you say is true it may well be the xcloud version of RDR2.

Nope - the IARC is merely a tool/service offering initially adopted in Aus in respect of digital storefront releases, which was a grey area in that they did not have to be rated by the classification board

It is applicable to any and all digital stores, and can be adopted by digital stores as their method of securing classification (because why not, it’s free and really quick) - ie your google play, Xbox, PS store etc.

It is only applicable to digital releases however which is vaguely interesting - and as far as that goes, can apply to any digital storefront

*edit* - hot damn, the sheer amount of “digital storefront” mentions there is nauseating

Also no point of not getting rating in case it launches later. And rating thus has no bearing to whatever it comes to PC or not.

No other storefront does (as of now). They may adopt in future, but this rating is already done.

I guess it is. I'm not expecting anything. It doesn't change the thing, that it feels weird, that Rockstar is going at Twitchcon without PC version announced with Twitch being mainly PC thing...

Twitch has mainly PC users but that doesn't mean they are primarily PC gamers.

I think there is a possibility it could be announced there. RDO and GTAO give you in-game benefits for linking a twitch prime and social club account so there is some form of business agreement between the two companies.

Primarily they may not be PC gamers but to stream with decent quality you need pretty decent PC, just saying.

Don't the PS4 and Xbox One also support streaming to Twitch?

Something appears to be afoot within the Pricedown realm. The Creator’s $1,000,000 Online incentive is already overboard... prior to Octahedron. Perhaps The Creator may be rocking That Special Someone early than the words of the Scotwire. Life was complicated for six years; the believers are the one’s who survived. We must stand by for a potential ‘Photoshop’ finish. Conjecture can finish up its talking, soon.

I mean sure it's possible. But Rockstar isn't listed on their site. And it would mean they'd abandon doing physical copies at all, since IARC rating only apply to digital versions. Other stuff that's IARC rated for Rockstar is mobile versions, and companions apps which are digitally only.

I don't think it's likely that there will be no physical PC version (even if it's just rockstar code on card). But there definitely won't be physical version of Stadia version.

Because of how Rockstar has done past releases, I could easily see them doing (for example) Stadia version before PC version. Kinda like they did with GTA V (but PS3/X360 > PS4/X1 > PC).

If it is the Stadia version then why did the ACB rate it? Or rather, what did the ACB rate? They aren't getting Stadia at launch and likely won't be for some time if they ever do.

Could it get classified now for a release later so long as the content hasn't changed?

Those were supposed to be released at the same time but PC was delayed due to what I assume were technical/testing constraints. I have a feeling we're not gonna have a delay this time (or Stadia in November and PC in December).

Bonaire is actually a island from the Netherlands(Dutch) in the Caribbean. The codename could be a hint towards Red Dead Redemption 2 Guarma Mexico DLC !

Codenames are pointless when they directly reference something they're related to.

This has been discussed plenty before, so it's nothing new. However not all codenames are different. For example, Fallout 4 was codenamed "Institute", and the main antagonists of the plot were The Institute.

The burden of proof is on both sides. There's a reason why in a court of law judges proclaims "not guilty" instead of "innocent".

I believe we've been over this.

If that was indeed filmed on a PC; why didn't the "leaker" go to greater lengths to prove the authenticity of the footage? Even if time was of the essence, simply using the mouse to demonstrate erratic, PC-specific camera movement and shooting for about 1-2 seconds would've been enough to seal the deal. Hell, alt-tabbing to desktop would've worked just as well.

None of that, though. Instead, he chose to only show the parts that are the most easy to spoof. This was demonstrated by the GTA V PC "leak". Frankly, I'm not sure how people still fall for it. I'm pretty desperate for leaks myself, but let's not get carried away here.
