I can confirm the existence of the PC Version. (I've changed this statement dozens of times because now I see the evidence.) I have some interesting information taken from the RDR2 Companion App.

16th because in 2016 that was the day they posted that ominous red screen on Twitter and 26th because of the release in 2018.

 

It won't happen. Rockstar's Twitter poster will stay as Red Dead Online: Frontier Pursuits for at least as long as the Legendary Bounties are still incoming. Like Rockstar said in the interview with VG247, the focus is on RDO 100% at the moment.

 

Everything else(including RDR2 PC) is secondary.

Well they didn't seem to ask if RDR2 PC is on the list of things they are focusing, but R* wouldn't tell them either way.

Personally I'd keep an eye for the 1st October which marks the 6th year of GTA Online. Probably it won't mean anything, but it's nice to throw random dates.

 

Oh, I forgot! That new game calle Grand Theft Auto III could be their main focus right now, so don't expect RDR2 on PC in the near future. That game is really going to "push to the limit" the Switch.

Yeah, you could be right. There are 8 legendary bounties left, so I'm assuming that the next 8 weeks are going to be dedicated to all of them.

The first available date is the 26th November if they keep releasing a legendary bounty per week.

Maybe all those leaks of the game taking place over multiple time periods and placed like Vice City is because they are remastering all 3 games at once 😂

My guess for a release date like I've said before might be the 15th of October that's when googles big event is happening and it is rumored that stadia will be there if stadias there they will most likely announce more games which might be red dead redemption 2 and a lunch date my guess is once that version gets announced rockstar will also announce the pc vs along with it with a trailer for both.

Itt's Rockstar that will announce the Stadia version as it was said in a document somewhere.

They lied about GTA V PC until the literal day it was announced. There were many Twitter replies and Support articles that continuously denied its existence, or even plans for the PC version... for very obvious reasons. 

 

One bit of interesting trivia is that Rockstar hasn't really bothered to make any statements about RDR2 PC. What little word we got actually came from Take-Two, and was entirely in our favor. ("No downside to RDR2 being on PC" etc...)  It's pretty curious that Rockstar avoided the whole "We have nothing to announce at this time" routine with RDR2. 

 

Hell, they even had a statement regarding RDR1's absence on PC.

They could be making the discs right now, gotta update the game last minute? Drop a day one hot fix in case your version is older.
Game developers do this all the time...

Well, of course not. That Take-Two statement was just in response to a question during one of the conference calls. It's something they'd never ordinarily discuss, since it's a completely unannounced project. Take-Two leaves every bit of marketing and announcement-making to Rockstar themselves, after all.

 

There were also similar statements during the 2013/2014 conference calls regarding GTA V PC, where people would ask pretty much the same things. It's all the same pattern.
