Rockstar could introduce a proper photo mode along PC version, because it's a real shame a beautiful game like this doesn't have one.

Thunderstorms and stormy clouds look godly in this game.

Hopefully the editor comes with the PC version. Also, there technically is a photo mode.

I mean a proper photo mode, like most Sony games or Assassin's Creed, could be implemented in main-menu, obviously only in single player and probably outside of missions not to break them.

Take 2 would be winding up the big marketing campaign if anything was coming out for the Holidays.  It'll be a Q1-Q2 push to hit say in March at the earliest.  Is anyone reading the tea leaves in the Take 2 profit reports and planning?  It's Marketing's job to make sure everyone who's not a fan is starving for a version of a title that's already out.  It'll also get big hype because it's the first PC release for the series.

 

My bet is still if there's a Remaster of the previous game in the works, they'll release that first for console, then spin off a PC version at the same time they update RDO to have the Mexico material.  This gets everyone to buy the Remaster so they can see the updated material.

 

They could do a PC and then a Remaster.  Ah... maybe they'd do that.  Have a RDR2 PC release, then a PS4/XB1 RDR1 Remaster release, then a RDO Mexico release, then a RDR1 PC release so PC fans buy two titles.  Yeah, that's the way to double or triple dip buyers.

 

It'll be interesting to see what they've been putting their big Environmental Art Department and Cinematics Team on for the past year or two.  GTA 6 is probably still in the early prototype phase not needing a massive Art or Animation group yet.  So... do we want to believe RDO's Frontier Pursuits took their 1000+ team to make happen?  The San Diego R* team is probably doing the RDO stuff while the UK R* teams are doing "Red Dead's Expanding"

I can see where your coming from and you make some good points... BUT... I find it weird that they release the launcher now. If they are going to release the game next year then they would probably of released the launcher at/near the end of the year. If the game is coming out next year, most people would of forgotten about the launcher and they would of wasted all that money on marketing for nothing.

 

The GTA SA incentive tells me they want users to be on their new platform quickly so they can announce a game on a platform people already have. This could remove the hassle of people moaning about downloading a new launcher.

Also there might be some bugs and releasing it now means they we'll hear our feedback ("whaaaat? Rockstar listening to their community?" I know right?) so that when this damn game comes out it will be perfect just like the launcher.

Exactly. Just the fact that they're paying advertisements on social media and such for the launcher means one thing: something is coming for it.

Agreed, and there’s no reason that a protracted advertising campaign is required for another platform version of a year old game...

 

 

online reporting outlets will do the advertising for you, judging on how some of the “rumours” can carry!

I don't think so. R* can say; buy a new graphics card and you'll get RDR2. And 90% would do it. What I want to say is, when RDR2 is released, the launcher will be installed automatically. The advertising for the launcher will not be the reason. RDR2 for PC is advertising enough

THen why advertise it on the internet that much and give a free game next to it if they are not planning something?

They are preparing something, slowly make ppl talk about it and prepare them for a new launcher (bug fixes etc) and then the big thing.

Definitely doesn't make sense to advertise a launcher you don't have plans for. Even if the game requires it, still makes sense to get people on and used to it.

It's just google going by your pattern of searches online. I get none of these because I don't use google. The only ads I see are xbox and Microsoft because I had the one x when I was playing RDR2.

Google doesn't really advertise for free, that's not how ads work. Also they're on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit too so Rockstar put a lot of money into it.
Btw if we find out for how much time they're going to advertise this launcher we could guess when they'll announce the game.

The fact that the launcher was coming out at all was interesting enough, but these ads are even more telling. Interested to see how long they go on for.
